Atrocious poll, Bedard landslide.

Thank god you're not a GM, McDavid is still in the thick of his prime, the best player of our lifetime (unless you got to see Gretzky and Mario). Ridiculous post man, and I'm high on Bedard.

Yeah but Bedard on ELC is stupid valuable…if you can get a team around him while he is still on his ELC…

It really depends on your team. If you're a team hoping to win now/soon - sure, take McDavid.

But if you're a team nowhere near winning, whose maybe in the midst of a rebuild/starting one - Bedard might be a better choice.

I'm a Habs fan. I love offense. I can't describe how much I'd love to see someone like McDavid playing for the Habs and scoring 150+ points (Habs have had one 80+ point scorer in past ~30 years or so)....but Habs are nowhere near a cup, probably even with McDavid. Bedard probably makes more sense. A lot of teams are in similar situations.

If it was for this season only or perhaps the next two seasons I would take Pettersson. Otherwise I'm rolling the dice on a potential generational player.

yeah I argued I would take Hughes over Bedard but lets get real here. nothing wrong with Pettersson he's a great talent BUT I think Id rather take Bedard in this situation
this would be tougher if he was a 100+ point player already and still 21 or 22 years old.

You spent 25 posts yesterday shitting on Bedard and that he's not ready.
Yeah you're definitely extremely intelligent and can read. I said he's not generational (Crosby / McDavid type), I said he's going to be a top 10-5 type player in the league, reading comprehension, nearly 7000 posts and literally live on this forum, yikes, still not quite there, good luck!

I can see where you're coming from and respect it but man, McDavid is just otherworldly, if we ever see another guy like this it'll be when we're much older, just an unreal talent that is incredibly rare. I go with McDavid and see where the chips fall, it's not like he's 30 yet, even though if you choose Bedard you aren't necessarily wrong either.

Lol gotta love these stupid threads that people make to try and justify their confirmation bias.

Who would people rather have? Zenon Konopka or Raitis Ivanans?

Whooooooo gives a f***.

Pettersson’s awesome but he’s about to be 25, and needs a new contract that’ll be 8 figures. Hughes was interesting because he’s still only 22 and signed long term to a steal. Here I think Bedard is the obvious pick.
