Value of: Elias Pettersson C

So they ran Miller out of town for nothing? If he nerds help, get it. The league has resources available for player assistance. That said? He's getting paid $11.6m a year to play a kids game. It's tough to feel sorry for him that he can't find his joy. Maybe he should retire and take up gardening or glass blowing or something.
Miller ran himself out of town. His uninspired play this year and demands out of his teammates, despite himself mailing it in, were finally too much too handle. At this point, it wasn’t/isn’t a Miller or Pettersson issue. It was a Miller needs to go, and Pettersson too maybe, situation.

I think its obvious to anyon at this point that he is strugling on the mental side. He needs to find his way back to what made him enjoy playing in the first place.

I think his knee tendinitis has created hesitancy in his game.

Let the knee heal so he can skate like her normally does, then rebuild his confidence.

Precarious position Vancouver is in with regards to EP. Another disappointing season next year and that may be an unmovable anchor contract. Trade him too early for pennies on the dollar and he regains form, Vancouver regrets it, but if he continues to be disappointing then pennies are better than nothing

I would think it might be hard to get full value for him at this stage, might need one successful year to show whatever issues he had are behind him for full value.

I really wanted him at the trade deadline, but his comments and just general attitude he demonstrated at his year end presser raised massive massive red flags. His trade value around the league has to be worse than PLD's was last year.

As a basis:

Pettersson + #15
for
#5

Bruins need a #1 center who can score if they are going return to the playoffs anytime soon.

Counter offer.

As a basis:

Geekie + #69
for
#47

Canucks need a #2 center who can score and I guess also dont want to pay for it kinda like you.

You even mentioned #1 center in your post then still slid the Canucks 1st in there. Incredible.

Geekie was awesome this year, but he was on the wing all season. Not someone you should be looking at if you're looking for a 2C.

I'd offer Dalibor Dvorsky (10th in '23) + 2025 1st (19th) as the primary pieces heading back to Vancouver...plus some NHL salary and other picks/prospects.

Rossi + whatever else VAN wants that isn’t Boldy, Faber, Buium.

I think his value is still very high. Closest thing we’ve seen to the Eichel situation a few years ago. Vegas got a Cup out of that deal and GMs will be licking their chops at the thought of adding a 1C.
