I thought there were times he was itching to bring out Dekey Pete but it's like his confidence is still 5-10% short.

He and Hughes out together was tough to control for Detroit as their skill and IQ was unmatched.

Wish he was more dangerous as a shooter but can't complain about this one.

Damn those “bursts” prevented him from completing a simple saucer pass while on the PP.

And he healed overnight at the start of a home stand. Surprised the training staff didn’t apply that special medicine earlier if it worked that quick.
Awwww... that is adorable.

There were moments where he did the deeky deekies but cant change direction or have any burst of speed to take advantage of the space he created.

You gotta love that play he made to set up the winning goal. You can see his timing is back. No chance he would have tried that play a month ago, much less been successful at it.

Happy he is playing better but he still isn’t dominant.

Step in the right direction but I need to see dominance shift after shift for 11.6M.

The play where he took on 2-3 defenders and got hauled down for a penalty probably won the game for the Canucks with that 5 on 3

Looked like his old dominant self through 40 today before kind of fading in the third, but then had primary assists on the tying and game winning goals. Encouraging play of late.

the play in overtime when he just took the puck towards the middle of the ice and left it for DeBrusk to take it wide? how was that a remarkable play from him whatsoever? He had three points and all three were him passing the puck to a guy who made a play (good pass on the Brannstrom goal though). I didn't think he had a great game today. took a penalty in the first min of the third when they had a lead that allowed Detroit to tie it at 3, then he lost track of Tarasenko who walked in alone on the 4-3 goal.
