The article says undiscloed injury- how do we know it was a wrist? Not being a dick, just asking. And if this true, why was he not shut down to heal? Was this the same injury that caused him to miss a bunch of camp? Even more why not shut him down to get healthy?
Shooting is half wrist. Rotating an injured wrist is harder than taking the pain at faceoffsI'm not a doctor but I don't understand how a guy with a bad wrist can win draws but can't catch a pass?
I mean, draws are hard on the hands and forearms, you're jamming sticks and battling. A pass seams harmless by comparison. I don't know, not a doctor.
Agree with the folks who say, if he's injured he should sit out until it's healed. Playing on the first line, then the second line, and the first power play all season hasn't been helpful, IMO he hurt those units.
At the very least the coaches should have said, ok you can defend and be smart but you can't handle the puck or shoot so we're going to use you in a defensive role and play to your strengths. Instead they did the exact opposite.
He would be an excellent 3rd line centre.
would be interesting to see what all the first and second line centres in the league make.He is a good 3rd line center. Just don’t ask about the cap hit, term, or his age.
Elias just doesn't fail the EYE Test
I don't think Sweeney will see it that way because he wasn't much better the year beforeWoof. He's closer to a buyout than a 1st line center.
Hasnt been good. That is for sure, especially for $7,750.No he hasn't! Smh
He hasn't been good but I think he is playing hurt. Now we have 3 players making way more than their worth and I have little faith in Donny getting anything worth talking about before next season so buckle up it's going to be a long, soft, boring ride!Hasnt been good. I have seen no proof of him being hurt, what I have seen is a player that is vastly over paid and even more of a mistake than many in this town that wants to admit, especially, management. He hasn't been good but I think he is playing hurt. He seems uncoordinated in a way. Not that hes falling all over the ice but it seems his stick and or skates are usually pointing in the wrong direction or he bumps an opposing player and gets spun out. I try to key in on him and it's hard to see a big glaring issue with him it's just that everything goes wrong most of the time when he's involved.I have seen no proof of him being hurt, what I have seen is a player that is vastly over paid and even more of a mistake than many in this town that wants to admit, especially, management.

Oh, so when someone does not play well, the new criteria, automatically he must be hurt. Was Donnie hurt when he signed him, so he has an excuse. You must not be looking very hard. (or at all)
The biggest strength of his offensive game is his shot, not hard to figure out what's going on.
