LOL its a $5K fine and people are screaming like Parros came down on OEL with a 12 game suspension. The league isnt out for the Leafs or to piss us off. I dont think OEL will lose sleep over it. Fellow Leaf fans on the other hand. Well.....

Fine with a fine on a play like this. Reverse hits are one thing in close quarters where everyone’s moving somewhat slower and anticipating physical pushback, not so much in open ice at full speed with no reason to expect it. Just a dirty play, not suspension worthy but a statement does need to be made that this is more than a regular penalty.

It’s not so much the size of the fine, it’s that this guy is now on warning. If he does it again he’s a repeat offender. Clearly the league wants to get rid of these hits before someone gets seriously hurt. And I think it’s a good move. Useless and dangerous hit.

Why is Parros still the DOPS? You have Trouba out here trying to kill people but Parros treats him like he’s his own child. The Leaf’s conspiracy theories are almost always bullshit but this one isn’t.
It is funny when you look at George's history of discipline, versus the teams he played for.
