He's a tough little Viking.
He'll be in the lineup next week.

I'm a bit worried that getting Ehlers back after a sports hernia surgery won't be the boost we all hope. He's right on the cusp where research has shown that players have significantly (statistical, not colloquial) worse performance in the two years following surgery, and he has always been a player who relied heavily on athleticism.

Note that this study is a decade old, and the subjects had surgery between 20 and 15 years ago, so it's entirely possible that a newer study wouldn't have the same results.

There have been some pretty significant advances in recent years in the number and the quality of treatment and outcomes for AP. It isn't a procedure I do, but I have several colleagues who work in sports meds and see it a lot. Ice hockey isn't a major sport here, but it's a very common injury in football and RU, among other sports, and has a high success rate of treatment / recovery overall.

There's no guarantee that Ehlers returns as the Ehlers of old straight away, but he's hardly a one-trick pony, and I'd expect that he can make a + impact this season still.

And, he's a Dane. These are tough people.

(I know, it's Swedish liquorice, but you get the idea).

Wheeler should get the Big Sak nickname now !!!!

My uncle in law lost his nuts to prostate cancer when asked how he was doing he'd say.

"As good as a man can do with plastic nuts " .... lol what great guy he was.
