I don't have enough faith to believe it, but maybe Rogers is listening to the fan bases and not forcing certain play by play guys on their teams if they like the people they already got.

Apparently the Oilers raised hell with SN and Rogers by not using Jack and our team for our games while everyone else got to keep theirs. I am not sure who Singh replaced but I cannot imagine Jets fans are very happy losing their guys.

I don't mind Louie but he has his standard fall backs that all analysts have that people like to poke fun at. For example every time a goal is scored there is a high probability that he says "That one might be coming back" or "They might be having a look at that one" so its like he enjoys seeing Oiler goals called back on challenges which he doesnt but its funny because you come to expect it.

I have been playing a drinking game every time Seravalli says the work "Look" or every time Gregor is wrong when I listen to podcasts with them on, and I am shitfaced by noon when I do that.

I really only run into the hate on HF as well. To be fair though I can't remember the last Oilers commentator that this place didn't hate.

Nobody is better than Jack IMO. Louie I can live with or without, but there are way worse guys than he out there. I think a lot of guys here prefer the Oilers Radio PBP guy Cam Moon, but I like Michaels way better, that said Moon is ok.

People perceive him talking positively about the other team as him hating the Oilers. They don't realise he's just doing a job. Apparently, our commentators have to be extreme homers like in the ones in the U.S.

After the first one you will be able to sleep for 6 hrs after work and snooze for an hour after the game ends.

Never been to Vegas. I thought up until last few years that they were not in same time zone as LA. Worse thing about being an Oilers fan living in NS, late, very late games.

Years ago they were playing Anaheim in playoffs. Puck drop was 1145 PM. One game went into Double OT. I watch games in my garage and that night I got outta garage at 515 AM. Work started at 6AM

He sounds good and is personable, but says little of substance and apologizes for the NHL's obvious failings and often ends up cheering for things to break against the Oilers, which is just absurd to listen to.

I don't mind Louie, but jack has to go. He rambles and rambles about useless stats and provides color for Louie and doesn't call a play, then he misses goals and says "quick shot score". I'd like to see Cam Moon and Louie...at least Cam calls the play and lets his color guy do color.

because this place is damn pessimistic about just anything. Its mostly the same people from just before the decade of darkness and during still arguing about the same things. Anytime i see a join date of post 2020 i assume they are a banned poster. Message boards are dying and its really just Gen X and Millienials keeping them alive.

So, there's saying things positive for the other team and there's lacking objectivity or a sense of reality of what's happening on the ice. Louis is often looking for things that "positives" against the Oilers, despite this Oilers team being very good and often better than their opponents.

If you only listen to Louis, you would assume the Oilers scrape by every game.
