I love when he and Strudwick have a debate over something about a play and you know Strudwick is winning and Gregor thinks hes got a chance. I'm yelling at my radio "Strudwick knows what hes talking about, he played in the NHL, you played Mens League hockey!"He is CONSTANTLY wrong and likes to brag about how right he is all the time, so it’s totally on brand for him to delete the proof that he was wrong.
I was looking for the word to describe him and incorrigible with a slight vein of narcissism. Problem is that he sounds like a good guy a lot of the time and his charitable work makes me overlook the other stuff. I just thought it interesting he covers tracks just to not admit a simple and reasonable mistake.I love when he and Strudwick have a debate over something about a play and you know Strudwick is winning and Gregor thinks hes got a chance. Also funny when he mentions "my Chiefs" when discussing football when a couple years ago he was a Dolphins fan.
They are all options. Do whatever floats your boat.Dumb question, but do people watch the videos or would they rather download the audio and listen at home, at work or on the road?
So you would recommend the 1440 post game show?There is quite the battle going on for market share, especially pre and post Oiler games.
I have been checking them out and it seems each outlet is holding their own without anyone dominating the market.
I find the post game on CHED almost unlistenable with the format and Bryn Griffiths, who is a steep downgrade from Reid Wilkins. And taking calls from drunk fans just makes for awful radio.
1440 and EST are pretty comparable for content and talent. I like Walker on 1440. He seems the most polished and experienced by far.
GYB seems to dominate the post game, reaching 2000-3000 you tube watchers during the playoffs. Strudwick and Brown are very good analysts and seem to carry the show. The one downfall is it it becoming polluted with advertising.
I will listen to it until GYB comes on, approx 30 mins after the game.So you would recommend the 1440 post game show?
Tried looking for an achive of the Post game show on 1440...cant find it.I will listen to it until GYB comes on, approx 30 mins after the game.
@Heavy Dee
Just finished listening to the 1440 Postgame show after last nights game.
That was a clear (major) upgrade from CHED's postgame show.
I will be listening regularly.
Thanks for mentioning that.![]()
Are there any post game shows that actually have a good 1 hour of call ins? I notice most other teams do this. I don't even listen to any post game shows really anymore. I like hearing people call in.There is quite the battle going on for market share, especially pre and post Oiler games.

None do anymore. I think 880 ched has call-ins but not many. Honestly- the best call-in show I’ve heard is the flames one. Pat Steinberg stays on until there are no more callers - usually well into the morning. I love listening when when Flames have massive collapses (missing the playoffs, losing to the oilers, etc)Are there any post game shows that actually have a good 1 hour of call ins? Yup, the Flames one is great and Vancouver has a long one. They both go up to 1-2 hours for call ins.None do anymore. I think 880 ched has call-ins but not many. Most people here hated Tencer but that guy would take calls all night. He’s the only guy since John Short who lived up to the slogan ‘the conversation stops when you say it does’. Agree with HeavyDee above that Bryn Griffith is a joke on the CHED post game show. He sounds like that relative you have who barely watches the sport but wants to talk about it whenever you meet (in my case they all live in Calgary). But I wasn’t a fan of Reid Wilkins either … dull as dishwater and too prone to being snappy when challenged. CHED postgame definitely on the downward spiral.Are there any post game shows that actually have a good 1 hour of call ins? I notice most other teams do this. When I was a teenager, I got to meet Dan Tencer at a civic event in St. Albert and told him that I was interested in sports radio (which was what I wanted at the time). He responded by inviting me to sit in the studio with him for an entire broadcast of Inside Sports; to my surprise, Dan followed up with email and made good on his invitation. He gave my Dad and I a whole tour of the CHED studio before his slot began. Also got to meet Lesley Primeau's dog Wheatley too.Most people here hated Tencer but that guy would take calls all night. Hahahaha- I know exactly which caller you are talking about!Yup, the Flames one is great and Vancouver has a long one. They both go up to 1-2 hours for call ins.
