  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

For the first time there was some sanity in the discussion.

All agreed that the 3rd and 4th goals had to be saved, and there was muted blame on the normal culprits (everyone else, deflection, screen, etc). I can't think of a world before now where they would have called those two goals bad up until now.

I feel like the message changed after MacLennan went on there and basically said Skinner and Pickard suck. I think a lot of their arrogance before came from a place of "silly Oiler fans, ALWAYS blaming the goalies, we know better than that here." Then someone that knows what he's talking about agreed with the fans their tune changed.

Any notice Lowetide basically has all the same takes as Gregor now? I used to agree with almost everything LT used to say, this season I have a hard time listening with any regularity.

I suspect now that Gregor is the boss he’s influencing LT?

Considering the way Lowetide was talking about goaltending help and Gregor says they don't need a goalie I wouldn't agree that there is influence.

Maybe he was just playing to his guest, but yesterday he seemed back on that train again

Although I guess Lowetide isn't one to disagree with a guest where as Gregor will actually get into a debate with a guest on issues he disagrees with.
 
You know, I used to like Gregor. But this last interaction has me soured.

When Drai was hurt, he said that he wasn't hurt. I said then why did Ford talk to him for a long time and Louis and Jack mentioned it several times. He doubled down on it. Then I posted an article showing the timeline.

The next day Draisaitl is day to day and he goes back and deletes a bunch of stuff. Like hey, we all get stuff wrong. I admit to it whenever I am. Why can't you just man up?

He is CONSTANTLY wrong and likes to brag about how right he is all the time, so it’s totally on brand for him to delete the proof that he was wrong.

Jason Gregor's job in the media is to give opinions on the radio & on-line and he's been doing it for a long time with a ton of confidence (which some see as arrogance). That definitely opens him up to criticism - especially when he's blatantly proven wrong. As far as I'm concerned, as long as Jason's not spewing anything harmful, he can say and/or delete anything he wants. I have way more issues with many of his Sports1440 on-air staffing decisions than with the sometimes spicy opinions he gives on various platforms.
