Regardless of our feelings towards him, Pronger was an absolute monster. Gator was obviously a good character guy but Pronger clears the rest of the defensemen listed here by a considerable margin.

Yup, and he played 1 year in 25, I can see why he wasn't included.

He really was not. Passable yes, fantastic no. Second best goalie in the Jets series and barely lasted a period against the Hawks.

The Flames/Avalanche ventilated him. At least Markstrom was worse.

When your team isn’t playing d in the playoffs the goalie looks bad.

ya Pronger has no business being on this list....the best defenseman the team had maybe ever (arguably Coffey) but he was here only a year
not enough runway to consider him an "Oiler great"

I could argue Talbot over Salo but Salo was a rock here for many years while Talbot had just 2 good years here
