I think its clear that matthews is going up against every top line this year. Kerfoot is getting 2nd line and then tavares is feasting on the third line

For D pairs, I think rielly and brodie since they can skate but I wouldnt be shocked at muzzin and holl.

You don't ever outskate McJesus, Jesus that is a losing strategy and will cause us to lose game in any kinda exchange ... do like Habs did let him skate puck all day long on da perimeter and close off middle of ice ... he will get frustrated by end of 1st mid 2nd period ... eventually he has to come through Zach and Muzzy in middle and plays die ... or he goes to point with puck and then clear net front so no screened shots ... we will have some trouble with that as we don't have same type of defenders who can chop down Drai

Habs tossed Drai around like a baby and he is a big man .. Habs gave McJesus outside lanes and let him skate around like crazy ... but did not give him middle of ice anytime ... they can do it because they play a strong defensive game and their men are massive

Yes but he got rolled twice big time by Edmundson I mean bad bad rolls ... but lots come down to reffing quite frankly as that cross check that put Drai down hard could be a penalty to some refs even though both were going for puck

McDavid did not look like McDavid those games. There is whispers of drama that McDavid is keeping the DRY line from reuniting. I don't know how much of it is true, probably none of it. McDavid is also getting a lot slack from the media. They want McDavid to do everything and the rest of the team seems to get a free pass to suck. It really does seem like the Oiler thing to do though

It shouldn't but you may be right ... McJesus can be controlled and limited to damage only on PP if you give him easy ice on perimeter which he will take and no one cares really ... but you can't play a soft stick check approach like Brodie plays on him ... you need a Muzzy who will let him try to come to him in small ice around net and use SIZE to force him around net again ... you can't chase after him like Rielly either cause he wants you to chase him down to open up ice for others ... just keep both defenders close to blue ice on either side of Freddy and use bigger centre/winger to block top of middle ice and let Freddy see da long shots which get lobbed in ... mcjesus shot not much better than Mitch's really

He closed the gap and went to finish the check while 97 going 100 mph. Petry missed him by an inch...maybe less. That scared the bejeezus out him and was pretty ineffective after.

McJesus will come out flying for family/friends so we need to play solid D for 1st period and then we should blow them out ... Oilers have zero defense and a below average NHL goalie ... a patient 1st is da key as we don't want to exchange chances with McJesus in 1st ... stick Zach and Muzzy on him every shift and it should help

I don't and yet I saw a lot of his games as a kid at Canlan Etobicoke ... you would be surprised how many tune in for Leafs Oilers only ... he always wants to be at his best when dad gets a media pass

Agree that no games will be easy.

IMHO we're a better team than EDM by a good margin so it shouldn't come down to Freddie outplaying his counterpart and if it does, then the team in front of him will have underperformed.
