we need to find a way of getting a Big body powerforward who can score garbage goals in front of the net. JVR type but ideally more physical and pre injury skating level

We toss the puck down low and around the net a fair bit but we don't have a current finisher who is good at deflections, box outs, tips and dirty goals.

Hope we can draft a player of that mold in the future

We're passing too much. We've had those great shifts with lots of zone time but it's all outside, no real scoring chance or threat off them, we need to start getting something off those shifts.

Ya it was a nothing period where the Oilers collapsed to the net and the leafs retained possessions around the perimeter without really generating anything. I expect we will see better im the 2nd period as we are playing into Oilers game plan if we continue like that
