Suggestion: when it’s time to close this thread in favour of a new one, why not add the Golden Bears? Their hockey prom doesn't get enough love.

Devastating loss for my hometown Saskatoon Blades with a game 7 OT home loss to Moose Jaw. 6 of 7 games went to overtime in an epic series of these two Sasky franchises. Unfortunately the Blades are the Vancouver Canucks of the WHL with over a half century of participation ribbons and zero championships. Hella year. Hella series. Go beat Portland!

Too bad for your Blades, liked them seen seeing Wendell Clarke play for them. Agree on Go beat Portland!

Hopefully we some of these games televised, its a shame we have some many freaking sports channels with only three different games, a hockey game, a baseball game and a basketball. Plus plays of the week or month.

The Canadian networks have become consumed with American content with more attention given to college hockey than the CHL and USports. Thankfully TSN is now picking up the championship series for all three CHL leagues: All games of the WHL, OHL, and QMJHL Championship Series will be live on TSN and RDS | Canadian Hockey League .

Have seen a lot of really good Blades teams and players like Wendel Clarke over the decades but never able to win the Dub championship. Though I did lose a heartbreaker home team Memorial Cup championship game to Swift Current's high octane team. Moose Jaw was just so resilient in this series. No quit. Hope they have enough to beat Portland but think the tank might be empty.

Didn't TSN make some sort of change this past year? Thought they were cutting down the regularity of the games, but were going to still have similar total number of games. Just focusing on the more important ones or something.

Can't really say I blame them as it seemed to be a money driven issue

TSN/CBC became the rights holders a couple years back. No idea on the economics involved based on viewership or how it fits with any CanCon requirements of their licensing as a Canadian specialty channel with 24/7 sports mandate. CHL also has direct pay per view options as well.

TSN probably does okay as a holistic partner of Canadian hockey with its national teams and now inclusive of its feeder system and the still largest provider source e of NHL talent. CHL partnership fits nicely into a vertical marketing strategy for broadcast and revenue.

All the decisions are money driven with those big corporations.

Believe it's the first time ever that all 3 CHL champions swept their series.

Going be an interesting Memorial cup it looks like. Saginaw only team to beat London this year in the playoffs losing the series 4-2, so that adds a bit of intrigue for me too.

Also get the impression that there will be a lot of people either showing up late or not showing up at all to work today in Moose Jaw

Go Moose Jaw! Fully behind Team Saskatchewan even though they took out my homeowners in an epic 7 game coin flip series.

Fantastic to see a small community's team win the Dub Championship. Especially sweeping Portland who have been effective in bending rules to recruit talent. Now have to face the same scourge of the OHL who are likely the Mem Cup Tournament favourites. Go get the Cup Moose Jaw - you deserve it!!
