Surprised nobody commented on Casperstadt yet, but it's not quite true. Pauly Walnuts would actually end up with points after those games where you never saw him. Mitts has just been plain not good the last half dozen games or so. Really hope Bednar realizes that there is the opportunity to have a second line if only he works with it as well. I'm beginning to formulate the opinion that Bednar doesn't give a shit about anything other than MacKinnon's line and Cale's pairing.

Mittelstadt has had Rantanen on his wing just like people have wanted. A top 10 player next to him.

I honestly don't believe Rants is an easy winger to play with. But he is absolutely better than what Mitts deserves, especially right now. Maybe he needs more meat and potatoes on his wings.

500 games for Sammy G.

I know he's had warts, but man I can't help but love the dude. He really was the first big piece of rebuilding our D for the championship run. He laid that mobile, fluid and eluisive style of play that Makar would eventually take to a completely different level.

Also important to note, that when he found himself struggling, he reached out and got help. I personally believe he's played better since his return from the NHLPAP than he had in a couple of seasons.
