Yeah I have made two proposals between Nashville and Edmonton in the last couple years.
Broken record.....

Ugh

Nothing to do with NSH-EDM. Your original NSH-NYR and NSH-OTT proposals from the past few weeks were no better than this. Sorry man, I'm not trying to be rude, but your proposals are so off every time.

To Nashville :
Eberle

To oil:
First round pick and Alex carrier

So who plays on the top RW for the Oilers ? Yakupov ? Pulju ? That is setting him ( Pulju ) to fail . Not sure you are taking the Oilers needs into consideration at all as this is so off that it makes most threads on here look great

No wonder people are discouraged posting proposals cuz everyone just rips hard. I don't know what the hell oilers needs I am just trying to make a package I thought worthy of a 55-60 point middle aged winger by hockey standards.
I cannot tell what every damn teams needs are. No worries I won't make anymore proposals I wouldn't wanna give someone a heart attack.

Oilers don't need futures, your right guys, they have been such a deep playoff team every year lately they are probably setting sights on the cup this year.

Let's see your proposals before you rip me

Close the thread. Ridiculous

1. Tons of people post here without being discouraged.

2. It isn't hard to look at another teams roster and see what they have and what they need.

3. 26 is "middle aged" now?

4. The Oilers have been rebuilding for a long time. They are trying to move out of the rebuild phase. That should be evident by the moves that Chiarelli made this summer.

5. I don't blame you for wanting to get good players for peanuts. Everyone would like to get a good player for nothing. But don't get so sensitive when we tell you we have zero interest in that type of deal and that you aren't offering close to what we need when you know you are proposing to get a good player for nothing that will help a team be better next year.

It's never a bad idea to vet proposals on your home team's board before putting up on the general trade board (and yes, we would've argued this was poor value for Eberle). There have also been a lot of prior proposals between Nsh-Edm, even post Jones getting traded, to have given a good sense of what Oiler fans would be looking for. Most of the time it boils down to Ellis and Eberle being the base pieces, which most Preds fan acknowledge is a price we can't pay.

Sounds like you are the one about to take a heart attack .

Your quote

" Oilers don't need futures, your right guys, they have been such a deep playoff team every year lately they are probably setting sights on the cup this year "

Let assume you are right here . How does futures help ? Do they replace a 30 goal scorer ?

Bogdan Yakimov , Anton Slepyshev , Fayne , Yakupov , 1st 2017 and 2nd 2018 for Subban . :sarcasm:

Now if I say I don't know what the hell Nashville needs does that make this ok ? Nashville traded Jones and Weber and got Subban back so 2 D men out 1 back . I would say logic would tell me Nashville would decline trading another NHL D .

No need to be petulant OP, vet your proposals on HFPreds first. The snide about us being a "deep playoff team every year lately" is duly noted.

Think about it, because we are a young team and on the rise trying to get to the playoffs, why would we get younger? Wouldn't it make more sense for us to want to get older and more experienced players around our young guys? Or if we move a player of Eberles scoring ilk at least get a need (i.e. RHD) in return?

Listen to Iron Duke OP.

Good post, I'd love to have Ellis and that's who we would target if Eberle was on the table. However, Subban's contract essentially replaces Weber's. Ellis is signed on the cheap and in my view one of the best 2nd pairing Dman in the NHL. Completely understand why he's not available.

Jesus, you are seriously clueless, Oilers don't need futures so you think they're a deep playoff team, do you have any idea how the NHL works? Why would we want futures when we're trying to get better now

This is a really bad proposal.

Why would the Oilers do this? Eberle plays well with McDavid and is a proven and consistent goal scorer.
