More like Barrie for Murray . If we want to add Brown it starts with a decent prospect + a 2nd or a 1st . Ottawa has no reason to trade a useful player . I would love to add Brown .

Kane McDavid Yamamoto/Puljujarvi
Hyman Draisaitl Puljujarvi
Foegele RNH Brown

all 3 winger on the RW can be moved up and down . Thats a solid top 9
It would be a 1st plus a good prospect. He would he your number 1 rw. Edmonton fans having a tough go in this thread.

Murray for Barrie is something I'd consider.

Murray is paid way too much to fit under the Oilers salary constraints for what he brings. Koskinen has better numbers and more wins. Might as well re-sign him if Matt Murray is the best goaltender the Oilers can get.

Murray for Barrie is a trade Ottawa wins hands down.

Barrie doesn't make any sense for Ottawa, so Sens fans are only going to offer up cap dumps (Del Zotto, Zaitsev, Murray) in return. None of those make sense for the Oilers given how tight they are against the cap. Safe to say we can let this die, Tyson Barrie isn't coming to Ottawa.

Sens would rather throw 5 million down the drain than acquire Barrie, possibly the last player the Sens would be looking to add

They have the same numbers, one plays for much better team. Also all those playoff wins for Koskinen, all that experience he is definitely the better option.

Koskinen has a better save percentage over more games this year and more wins. Also he is red hot right now. Matt Murray isn't even outplaying Mike Smith this year.

Barrie's main job is on the powerplay and he's dynamite there. Just sayin'.

Come on . From one Oiler fan to another we both know Barrie been shit this year . His give a shit meter is at -10 now he got a new contract . Last year he was great as he was playing for a contract .

edit: The last 10 games he seems to be playing a little better . Maybe he gets his game back under the new coach .

He had a good start, and hit a wall about 25 games in. I don't think I would go as far to say his "give a shit meter" broke, as he was clearly playing well in the first quarter of the year (maybe 1/8, I can't recall when he really started to fall apart). I would never argue that he has been great all season this year, but he is still among the best powerplay defensemen in the league, I don't think we can dispute that. I also don't like the cop out "he was playing for a contract" response. Barrie's worst season ever was a contract year, so I'm not sure if I would buy that he's the kind of guy who plays for a contract and then let's the foot off the gas. What he is though, is a guy who needs to be used in a specific way. When used properly, he's good. When used incorrectly, we see what happened with Barrie in Toronto.

I do see how that doesn't interest Ottawa though, as their powerplay runs through Chabot so they likely don't need Barrie.
