So which Staal is Edmonton getting here?
presumably Marc since I'm not sure how they "continue to improve their blueline" by getting 2 forwards
So which Staal is Edmonton getting here?
Interesting proposal. Hoe about we adjust it a bit.
Rangers get:
Ference
Pomminville
Letestu
Wild get:
Stepan
Kreider
Oilers get:
McDonagh
Zucker
Staal and Poms are winning culture? I think the proper term for this proposal is delusional.
McDonagh and Lundqvist would provide some winning culture.
Sure, with Connor McDavid is going to NYR.
Wrong, His proposal looks spot on and fair to me.

Staal has 92 games of playoff experience at 29. There's a reason why Edmonton paid Lucic 6m a year and will continue to do so deep into his 30s because other than him, how many players do you need to add up to equal Staals PO experience? How many cups do Staal and Pominville have again? The same number as RNH and Yak you say?
I had thought it was a good thing to change Edmonton's personnel from a group of guys who were only successful at winning lottery picks. On NHL radio, Boomer keeps talking about the "Losing Culture" in Edmonton and how Hall, RNH, Yakupov, and Eberle all need to be purged. McJesus is different than all the other 1st overalls and lottery picks so maybe he changes their world single handedly. We also gut our currently strong center depth in this deal for a past his prime winger and a downward trending LHD that doesn't bring offense to the table.
As an Oiler fan I have to disagree .
Every time Staal or Poms steps on the ice and get paid it a win Just not for the team
Nah RNH can teach them how to do it by being a never-been.I guess they can teach the young guys how to win a boat load of money when they have become has been
Pominville was a key component to a line that pushed Minny into the playoffs. While their team was ousted in the 1st round, Pomi played well throughout the series.
Both have worn letters on their jerseys and when McD is out, Staal where's one for NY. Pomi had the C in Buffalo before leaving. Both have been to the 3rd round multiple times. Staal has been to the finals. And unlike Richards, they can both still play.
Other than Lucic, who on Edmonton has that kind of leadership and experience?

Edmonton Gets:
Pominville
Staal
NYR Gets:
Dumba
RNH
Ference
Minny Gets:
Stepan
Yakupov
Edmonton continues to improve their blueline. Adds veterans with leadership and deep playoff experience. They complete their culture change by moving out RNH and Yakupov.
Rangers get move proven vets out for younger players and continue their retooling. Ference could be LTIR for most if not all of 16-17, 17-18 there would be cap savings, though Dumba's raise afterwards would expect to bring costs back up.
Minny gains a top line center and gets Yakupov to replace Pominville. While Pomi was great down the stretch and in the playoffs, hopefully Yak can turn his career around with a new start. Moving out Dumba gives Reilly a deserving spot in the NHL.
Coming from a Ranger fan, Edmonton clearly gets the short end of the stick.
ok, I uderstand that EDM have done stupid moves but this is beyond K. Lowe stupid... and he's not even there anymore
