Confirmed Trade: [EDM/MTL] Brett Kulak for William Lagesson, 2022 conditional 2nd round pick, 2024 7th round pick,

Kulak is a good pickup. Skates well and has improved his defensive coverage dramatically. Has been a good soldier for Montreal - I couldn't stand him a few years ago and he evolved into a very reliable 18 mins a night.

God knows we don't need more picks, but have to believe that is what's coming back. MTL is going to have a ton of options going into next year with all of these picks and fairly well stocked prospect pool. Future is bright IMO.

Kulak is a perfectly fine depth defender. Adding him will keep their young prospects out of the playoff roster.

Lmao the Canadiens are not getting arguably the Oilers' 2nd best prospect for Brett f***ing Kulak.
Allen, one of the most underrated goaltenders in the league. Has been extremmely solid and consistent since we got him. Would improve your goaltending situation a big deal.

I'm not an Oilers fan, but no. The Canadiens are not going to get that caliber of prospect for Jake Allen - one of the most average goaltenders in hockey - and Brett Kulak.

Stop dreaming.

I doubt Edmonton sees Allen as an upgrade on what they've got.

Holland is extremely stingy when it comes to "his" guys and firsts.

My guess is Turris + 2023 3rd + maybe a B prospect like Rodrigue for Kulak and a later pick.
If Turris come to Montreal, Habs will ask for more then that

WTH is going on with deleting and locking my threads!!

I have had about 3 or 4 deleted today. I broke the Kulak news earlier today and my thread gets locked and a new thread gets made when the trade is confirmed.
Historically nonsponsors/insiders have not even been able to create threads on trade deadline day I believe.

I'm guessing there's a bunch of moving pieces for cap reasons or something. Otherwise we would know already

Kulak for a complex conditional pick based on Oilers making the playoffs and which round they get in

3rd if they dont make it
2nd if they make it
1st if they go conference final

(tongue in cheek obviously)
