1M for the player.

400K for the intangibles.

I like it. He's slow as f***, not great defensively, but still has good hands, hockey IQ, and a head for gamesmanship which is needed for the playoffs.

Obviously he was well liked in the room and valued, which is why he's being brought back.
Could barely get in the lineup in the playoffs this year. Another year later isn’t going to help.

At his age he shouldn't see all games anyways. He's a specialist at this point. Another option for the coaches that can be used in specific situations.

Modern day Oilers culture personified. Could not find much better at that price.

I'd rather spend the money on Janmark, and I do think Perry's done in terms of speed and all-round play, but man people are zooming in hard when they can only see SCF losses. How many players on any team can say they've played as many playoff games? How far have these players come? Zoom out a bit and see that Perry's won far more playoff games than most of your favorite players combined. Now, that's not all his credit, but hell, neither are the losses.

What does he... exactly provide at this point? Veteran presence? He had 1 goal in the playoffs. Are we hoping for a bounce back season?

Leadership I guess. It’s not something us fans can evaluate and put a price on. We have no idea how it impacts others behind the scenes

He’s decent around the net. Makes a few deceptive plays. Besides that he is pretty much cooked

I would of much preferred other options but here we are

I would not have re-signed him. but he is okay to move in and out of the lineup as needed and the Oilers need cheap NHL players.

Well, this sets up the Vegas betting nicely. Oilers lose in the finals again, just have to guess the right team against. It is now written in the stars. :sarcasm:
