I can see the plan for the offseason already. Tkachuk is going on LTIR after surgery. That will give us room to sign Marchand, Bennett and Ekblad.

He is what he is. For $3M you got a guy that can play any forward position well enough without giving up much on defense. He'll plug any hole in the line up and often is used as a spark to shake things up like today. He's not a big scorer and he's not fancy but he knows his job and he does it well. Well worth the $3M AAV.

Plus we wouldn't have a Cup without him.

Completely agree. E-Rod is not the problem & is certainly not overpaid. He was very good tonight.

It's about using the cap to pay some bills and we have a glut of forwards.
I prefer Samoskevich in the top 6/9 over Erod. Simple as that.
