It's the biggest circle jerk on the internet.

Just people posting anything that fits the current narrative and everyone upvoting it. If ANYONE even tries to throw out a varying opinion it gets downvoted into oblivion. There is no "discussion" anywhere over there.

Each thread is full of such psychotic, circle-jerking vitriol it's pretty f***ing demented. They all just think the exact same way 😂

The funny thing is if Toronto loses this series the herd will turn to dunking on Toronto and the rhetoric shifts right away. Right now the hot take is the Panthers are a scummy dirty team. Next week if we win the series it’s “bahahaha Toronto chokers”.

Leafs are chokers and I'll believe that until we they are at least in the conference finals. They are doing well so far but, as you well know, 6Ws does not win you a cup. Or good faith.

Personally, I think a lot of Panther haters and to an extent, neutrals were pissed over the cup win and the finals appearance before that. Why? Because it solidified the team financially. Mid 2010s were turbulent for the Panrhers and Carolina. They always had the target on their backs for relocation to Quebec City. Both had massive attendance issues.

The 2019 Hurricanes playoff run and the storm surge/bunch of jerks antics gave a rebirth to that team and the area. They haven't missed the playoffs since. They definitely have fallen short but there's no doubt that they'll be a contender for awhile.

The 2023 run gave a full rebirth to the Panthers. Even the year before they were still only pulling 15k a game. Possibly a Covid hangover with people still uncomfortable with mass gatherings? However, after the last two seasons, the Panthers get rewarded with a extension lease with Broward that was due to end in 2028 extended to 2043 with the possibility of a new arena.

Now the QC and gatekeepers have no leg to stand on anymore. I cannot think of any team that can be relocated anymore. And they're pissed about that.

The burning desire to climb a mountain for the first time and plant your flag on the summit requires an unrelenting focus and near flawless execution to achieve. Double that recipe if you want to consecutively repeat. Tonight they better start cooking.

I wonder if it is understood by this team’s current roster that if they fail embarrassingly to this opponent, all past hesitancy to alter the chemistry of ”this group of guys who really love each other” is out the window.

Bill Zito has a great eye for talent but has been handcuffed from day one with lack of cap space. I’d love to see what he can do with a bit of breathing room. I hope serious consideration is given to keeping Marchand here. He is a breath of fresh air to a roster that has pockets of stagnancy. I’d love to see the organization give him an “A” on his jersey, should they decide to let certain persons walk.

As painful as it is currently unfolding and it is to say it as the 1967 chants have been glorious, what if it's just Toronto's time? They remind me a lot of last years Panthers and with a new voice behind the bench that is resonating much better than Sheldon Keefe.

I work with a really down to earth leafs fan whose played hockey with Randy Moller. He is the only one I'd generally be happy for.
