You gotta respect the little moron. He stuck with it for 10 years and watched us win a cup. He deserves this lmaoThe absolute worst part is having to read HockeyVirus posts.
Agreed lol. But look at Vegas and Colorado after their cups. They were first round exits. We made the finals twice. We should be proud of these guys. Give Toronto credit, they’ve capitalized on their chances. With a healthy Tkachuk this series is probably different, but this is the playoffs. Excuses don’t matter. One good thing is I’m sure Zito sees the need to strengthen this D core because holy hell it was a mess. We need more speed on the backend.Wouldn't be a surprise if they get eliminated this year, just sucks it would be against Toronto.
Team is trending in the right direction, but they've put themselves in a difficult position.
Given the mediocre mobility on our backend, the defensemen have to make the right reads at the Leafs' blue line. The odd-man rushes we’ve given up are the kind you shouldn’t be seeing past November.
Verhaeghe is completely out of sync with the rest of the team. He’s still effective on the forecheck, but right now he’s dragging down the top line. He is basically a Puljujarvi atm.
Tkachuck looks about as effective as in the finals two years ago. He is so far from healthy he cannot be relied on for production. Bennet looks great but he does not have much to work with.
Some lineup adjustments are probably called for. Marchand’s earned more minutes but do you dare to break that line?
I simply do not know what to do with Verhaghe.
He has been awful for 3 months now.
He is not flipping a switch.
The dude walked down the middle for the ice and missed the net.
I have no idea what is wrong with him.

The guy is a POS. Has been all season. He doesn’t look like he is actually trying to score. Maybe a 20% effortHe got paid and he got laid.
“There’s a decision to be made in the room to understand that teams are going to win games at home, and we’re fine, there’s no panic in our group,’’ veteran Panthers defenseman Aaron Ekblad told me after Wednesday night’s 4-3 loss. “We’re well-equipped to handle this situation with veteran leadership. A lot of guys have been in this situation. So, we’re not worried. It’s playoff hockey. Home-ice advantage, they won two at home, so what?’’
I mean when you give up a shitload of odd man rushes to a team that lives off odd man rushes you’re going to have a bad time. Can't win in 6 without losing two games.
If Bob doesn't fall asleep I think the Panthers win last night. That's an atrocious goal to give up to lose the game.
Leafs are solid team but they're getting pummeled 5 on 5. Shot attempts were 80 to 40 last night, it's not close at all. Anyone paying attention sees the Panthers are playing much better hockey than the Leafs.
But the difference is the Leafs are scoring on almost every chance they get and that has been the difference maker. And over a series it can be enough to get a good team to beat a great team.
Leafs are literally cherry picking, that's their strat lol. Domi was at our blue line multiple times last night.I mean when you give up a shitload of odd man rushes to a team that lives off odd man rushes you’re going to have a bad time.
