I think Jones is fine, but we could definitely use some more speed on the blueline. Do miss Montour and his skating ability/grit.

Think Maurice needs to blender the 1st, 2nd and 4th lines a bit.

Keep Samo on the 2nd. Just wondering if it'll be worth swapping #23 and #19 for a few shifts a game.

Give the 2nd line some speed, and the 1st can park Tkachuk in front of the net while Barkov/Reinhart cycle or find their way to the slot.

Wouldn't be a surprise if they get eliminated this year, just sucks it would be against Toronto.
Agreed lol. But look at Vegas and Colorado after their cups. They were first round exits. We made the finals twice. We should be proud of these guys. Give Toronto credit, they’ve capitalized on their chances. With a healthy Tkachuk this series is probably different, but this is the playoffs. Excuses don’t matter. One good thing is I’m sure Zito sees the need to strengthen this D core because holy hell it was a mess. We need more speed on the backend.

Team is trending in the right direction, but they've put themselves in a difficult position.

Given the mediocre mobility on our backend, the defensemen have to make the right reads at the Leafs' blue line. The odd-man rushes we’ve given up are the kind you shouldn’t be seeing past November.

Verhaeghe is completely out of sync with the rest of the team. He’s still effective on the forecheck, but right now he’s dragging down the top line. He is basically a Puljujarvi atm.

Tkachuck looks about as effective as in the finals two years ago. He is so far from healthy he cannot be relied on for production. Bennet looks great but he does not have much to work with.

Some lineup adjustments are probably called for. Marchand’s earned more minutes but do you dare to break that line?

That 3rd line is our #1 scoring line it seems. Feel like he could click on any line, but I doubt they want to mess with that line, and rightfully so.
Crazy to say this, but I would like him back for 2-3 years(cap hit) even at 36. IMO he can be that Jagr-rat mention for Lundell and Luostar.

feel like paul at times lets the team figure things out and usually it works after a very painful process, lets see how it comes game 3 but im not that confident about us at home

Only time weve lost 2 straight on the road was vs vegas, obviously cliche but must win tomorrow, and it better be a dominant showing. Deflating dying by our own hand again, legit we have a better roster but the effort isnt there on most

Faceoffs are massive these past two series
I think nosek should be added to the 4th along with sturm and Erod

No clue on the rest of the lines cause we have 3 of our top 6 just being extremely inneffective paired with bob going back to 2022 form

with how clutch swaggys been these past 3 years, ill give him some benefit of doubt to turn it around, but sure will suck if it wont be till next year

Ironically i feel like were being the leafs this series
Top line MIA, defense making mistakes, goalie being shit (still love bob but holy shit)

With the 0-2 start and a Friday game, I notched the amount of tickets for sale on seat geek is insane hundreds if not thousands of tickets for sale.

I fear fans have given up and are trying to cash in on selling to Leafs fans.

Kinda sad, because one win Friday and we are back on this series.

Can't win in 6 without losing two games.

If Bob doesn't fall asleep I think the Panthers win last night. That's an atrocious goal to give up to lose the game.

Leafs are solid team but they're getting pummeled 5 on 5. Shot attempts were 80 to 40 last night, it's not close at all. Anyone paying attention sees the Panthers are playing much better hockey than the Leafs.

But the difference is the Leafs are scoring on almost every chance they get and that has been the difference maker. And over a series it can be enough to get a good team to beat a great team.

Oh god, we’re definitely f***ed now. Ekblad gave a “so what?” quote.

“There’s a decision to be made in the room to understand that teams are going to win games at home, and we’re fine, there’s no panic in our group,’’ veteran Panthers defenseman Aaron Ekblad told me after Wednesday night’s 4-3 loss. “We’re well-equipped to handle this situation with veteran leadership. A lot of guys have been in this situation. So, we’re not worried. It’s playoff hockey. Home-ice advantage, they won two at home, so what?’’

I mean when you give up a shitload of odd man rushes to a team that lives off odd man rushes you’re going to have a bad time.

can kinda see what happened to the heat a lil bit ago
Course we had the championship with wade, shaq and Zo, but that massive bandwagon with the big three dissipated pretty damn quick once it dissolved.
