This team’s not repeating shit if this is how they play in close out games. wtf? Leafs weren’t even good, but we just tossed pucks to nowhere, shot it into Will’s chest, missed wide open nets, the 4th line was the only line actually checking, they had lanes and decided to pass, someone toe dragged when they had a lane. They were on the ropes and we just didn’t show up. Awful.

When neither team has more than 2-3 real scoring chances in the game, the goalie needs to be there - although Schmidt's decision to rim the puck in the OZ while 3 forwards are going into the near corner was a horrible decision to get the play started.

No urgency, no puck luck, gotta give credit to TOR hard-nosed bluecollar game.

And can we please just let Seth Jones fire away on the PP? He has a great shot, but they never use him

You know that I am a defender of Bob's performance most of the time even when he gets a lot of justified or unjustified criticism from the others... but in this situation, I don't think it matters if the puck is deflected by Forsling or not. In such a tight game at this point of the season, he needs to make that save for us, no matter how wobly or changed up the puck comes towards him.

OTOH, I don't think anybody was believing we'd reverse-sweep Toronto, winning 4 games en suite. The players know what they have to do, I am counting on a better performance in the final game.

Not sure what is Maurice's problem. This series should've over in 5 games with the Panthers proceeding to the ECF. The first two games void of urgency and now additional let down in game6. Maurice probably thinks that his squad performs better when they've accrued more dents, bruises, cuts, etc in a prolonged series instead of just putting the hard hat on right from the get-go and closing out the series in 4-5 games.

The good thing is Paul usually adjusts well after losses. I don’t know if they stuffed us or if we were just lethargic. Maybe a. Bit of both

I'm confident in this teams ability to win the big game. They've earned that. The problem is, in winner take all, if the bounces get wonky, you could easily find yourself at home even if you don't deserve it. And that part sucks.

Reino is great defensively but meh on offense. Same for Barkov.
Verhaeghe has to be mental. Puck fumbling indecisive, and his shot rivais Kulikovs wrister. Obviously Chuk is injured and hampered.
Bennett isnt a dynamo.

The memes and shit have been fun the last couple days but Carolina just wrapped up their series against the Capitals and they're chilling.

6-1 is a nice margin of victory but it counts towards winning the series just as much as the 2-0 game. Fact of the matter is that the boys still have a job to do tomorrow night in their building. The Leafs, for as pathetic as they've looked at times, are still not out of it. Nylander had a breakaway to start last night's game and who knows how things turnout if he scores to make it 1-0 Leafs right off the bat.

I have all the faith that the guys are going to get it done. I don't think they have any desire to come back to Toronto to play again and will handle things appropriately, but a job still needs to be completed.

Agreed. But they showed no urgency last night. I don’t get it, Toronto was better but not by that much of a margin. I don’t get how they go from that beat down on Wednesday in their barn to whatever tf that was in ours.

Toronto comes out fast and with a flurry, we have to weather that and stick to our game. Maybe we’re fatigued af, but don’t be the team that allows these clowns to get to the 3rd round.

Helleybuck has to let in a couple of softies tonite so that the Pegs can’t win this year so that Mo stops wishing for them to win it this year so that Mo starts wishing the Panthers to win it so that he will start paying attention again so that the team will play dominant again so that we crush the Leafs in game 7 so that we can crush the Canes again too.
