After reading these boards, Reddit and interacting with friends who like the Leafs (I'm from the GTA), I am convinced Leaf fans are rooting for their own team to lose. It's like they want their guys to get hurt, want to blow leads, etc., just so they can make up these situations in their heads where they are the victim.

Example: Domi runs Barkov from behind at the end of the game.

Every Leaf comment I saw was making this situation about them being the victim in one way or another. It is so odd.

Maybe it's just how they've been conditioned. Who even knows.
