I wouldn't call it an outright choke but it's choke adjacent...team up 2-0 wins like 85% of the time or something, right?
They're also the highest seed left in the playoffs.

Yes, the higher seeded team is the underdog. There are various reasons for that, but those are the facts.
The Panthers aren’t some snappy upstart looking to squeak by the Toronto maple leafs here lol
Never surprised the lengths people will go to spin a negative narrative around the maple leafs
It feels like the short term issues for the Leafs are magnified because of the lack of overall success with this core. They need to make the Eastern Final just to get a passing grade, and words like "choke" are used with the history of the team in mind. It's really not fair but this is the cost of a lack of success for all these yearsWhy is it so important to determine which team "Chokes"? Why the melodrama?
We've arrive at game-7 of a back-and-forth series, where Toronto had the momentum before Florida took it, followed by Toronto grabbing it back again. Unless tonight is a blowout, we've move beyond 'choke'. It's now a close series where one team will "Lose" without necessarily "Choking".

Notice that it doesn’t occur to us to expect straight proper win. It’s telling. If we know one thing about the Leafs, it's that they're always on the right side of luck.
Isn't calling it a "Choke" the opposite of an excuse? Excuses are intended to soften the blow when a team loses. Calling it a choke is opening the wound and pouring salt in it.They want an excuse.....
AC/DC tie in saves the page"Who choked who?
Who choked you?
Who choked who?
Ain't nobody told ya?"
Man, this site sometimes. 2 pages of debating who'll be the chokers if they lose tonight.
Things are too cordial in here. Yes, we're probably going to lose, but why not have fun in the process?

and what are the numbers for teams up 3-2?team up 2-0 wins like 85% of the time or something, right?
*^ The defending Stanley Cup Champs ^^and yah HF was calling for a sweep or very one sided series . These are factsSo the latest narrative push is "If Division Champs beat #3 Florida it's the greatest upset of 2025 Playoffs but, if they lose, definitely NOT a choke-job despite its $50 million Core 4 talent."
It just keeps getting better and better.
not sure, but only winning 1 of the next 5 is definitely a lot different than winning neither of the next two after winning 3 in a rowand what are the numbers for teams up 3-2?
