What I want/need to happen... Leafs take a early 4-0 lead, and the remainder of the game/night is a celebratory affair as the Leafs cruise to victory.
What will probably happen... Leafs take a early 4-0 lead, and lose in OT on a floater that deflects in off of Marchand's backside (to complete his hattrick)... Well that, or a repeat of game 5.

I know everything is overemphasized with the Leafs but even still, it’s hard to understate how big this game is. An era defining game.

They won't no-show.
They care. The problem is that sometimes they care too much or don't know how to channel their emotion and will to win constructively. They are afraid to lose and the ramifications of losing and let the fear of losing affect their nerves. It's hard to win big games when you're anxious.
If they actually didn't care that much, they might have a better record in elimination games. They have players with a lot of technical skill and you would expect a team with that much talent to win series-clinching games more often. They need to try hard but also to just chill and play hockey.

I am pulling for the leafs to knock out the cats, but I dont believe they will. Until they prove they are capable, they will always be known as the group that couldn't get it done. Hope they prove me wrong.
I have a feeling Leafs will somehow pull it off this time. Like some huge bad luck for Cats while simply decent effort from Woll and company.

I saw some angry Leaf fan reactions after Game Five outside the SBA. One young man, clearly inebriated if I were to surmise, made a bold statement, "Leafs are going to win this in seven and Matthews is going to send it back with the game winner next game (game 6)" He said this is the Leafs year and put complete faith in Berube as he "has the boys ready and they will win this series and beat Edmonton for the Cup"
He had that young confidence, convincing in his complete belief, accelerated with a few courageous drinks in him. We will see if he is a Nostradamus or not.

Only 1 million ? Times that by maybe 25 ( half of Canada / other half hates the Leafs or not interested in hockey )
Will be difficult to team who wins today. Super physical series and Canes match awaiting on tuesday without any extra rest. And both teams seems to have important players more or less injured.

A win won't change opinions on them, not after9 years.
However
A loss is a confirmation in an offseason in which 2 "important" ( YMMV) players are UFA's.
In that sense its defining who is coming back and who is playing their last game as a leaf.
I want to see the leafs win.

I think we can all acknowledge that the current Leafs team is one of the biggest playoff failures of all time.
If the Leafs lose tonight, they remain so.
If the Leafs win tonight, the Panthers become the defending Stanley Cup champions who lost to one of the biggest playoff failures of all time, a team that their fans fully expected to dispose of four or five games.

Not just their fans but fans of basically every team expected a train wreck ( even some Leaf fans , heck I even picked Florida in 6 ) . They’ve played some really tough comp / series but completely agree that they should’ve broken through by this point
