Now it all makes sense.

Why are people even discussing draft pick implications vs success?

Make it to the Conf finals and you never know what happens. Vasy could pull his groin.
Sometimes I think posters, who are super into the draft, don't even watch the team/games. They'd rather just play online GM to flex their knowledge on prospects. Or some are super delusional and will type up the most absurd trades.

Anyways, LGR!

It's funny that game 7's sound so fun in theory...until you actually turn on the game. And then it is just stress. All the stress.

Game 7's are an absolute hoot - unless for us the Rangers are involved. As a relative neutral in most other series (personally speaking) then it is a gas.

And since we basically made it our signature calling card in the Playoffs we seemingly get about two or three of them every run. I mean - someone else said it - we have been through about three cores and probably the biggest rebuild we have ever had in modern times and here we are, five seasons later and we have already had two of them :-D

2 goals in over 9 periods of play in Carolina is pretty brutal. I hate to say it, but I don't know if we can win without a you-know-what from Igor.
Im sorry to say you are correct..In Carolina the Rangers look like their skating in mud Passing is off and not much attack. I dont see how that changes tonight. Gallant dosent seem to adjust. So Igor Needs to pitch a Zero. Let Us Pray...Please God i dont ask for much

I would 100% take going to the ECF over getting a higher pick. The question was would we take getting swept in the ECF though over losing game 7 and not getting swept and having a better pick. I'd also take winning game 7, but there's always that fear that if we do win we'll get embarrassed by the Lightning. I personally think both of these teams would put up a much better fight than Florida.

I’m 1-0 from the hospital. Henry hasn’t ever witnessed a Rangers loss. Good signs.

I think Carolina comes out with energy but can also crumble under the pressure. It’s either get a quick one to take their wind or weather the storm early and wait for them to make a big mistake under pressure. I can see either happening. Let’s all plan on more threads about how Maroon is a POS after this one.

The Lightning would have like a 35-40% chance of sweeping Arizona in a series yet somehow people are convinced they'd sweep NYR/CAR just because they happened to do so to Florida.

Nope. Zero embarrassment if the youngest team in the league gets routed by the 2x defending champs.

Punch your ticket to the final four blue.

100%.

I call those people “wannabe/future John Chaykas”. If the corsi doesn’t read like an ominous tarot prediction and you’re not getting annual lottery picks/conducting full roster shakeups, you’re apparently a stone age fan who no longer knows hockey. To some people.

Need to figure out how to get some top line guys a shift or 2 away from the Staal line.

Double shift CK with Goodrow-Motte. Give Laf and Panarin a few spins there too. Top players need more minutes.

i think we match up pretty well vs Tampa. They would most likely beat us but i feel like they are similar style team as us, just better and more experienced. Carolina on the other had is a bad matchup
