I know that Matthews and Marner haven't been meeting offensive expectations this series.

But you also have to look at their depth scoring.

Take a look at who is scoring Florida's goals this game. Boqvist, Mikkola, Kulikov. All depth players.

Year after year, Toronto doesn't usually get any offense from anyone other than their Core 4.

Now, granted that some of that can be blamed on the Core 4, since they take up so much space on the salary cap that there isn't much money left to afford better depth.
