Boy that was bad. Canes dominated from the get go. We have to adjust quickly to there being no space and time or this will be a short series. Game two will show whether or not they can make it a series. We're playing a real strong team there that really plays like one.
I don't think it was that bad.
The Canes did get a rested legs jump start in the first round, but I felt like the momentum changed in the second, even before Bastian scored, which obviously helped a lot.
The tripping calls in the beginning were really annoying, since they gave a completely false penalty to the Canes, and even more annoyingly "fixed" with a false call on Haula. The McLeod call also imo involved some re-enacted diving, and both these penalties really took the wind out of Devils.
With a better start this is definitely more than doable. With the faster team, we should be drawing the penalties, not the other way around.

"It's up to me to stop being a mamby-pamby trying to make fancy shmancy passes and start shooting the f*cking puck for a change"
Still smart word from Jesper. Even if it lowers the high risk chances, just get back to shooting, since the faster the game gets, the better it should be in the long run for Devils.
