It looks like it, the Caps trashed Montreal like rag dolls, but this has not worked with the Canes, they look like a serious contender, they can be as it looks now, to be in Eastern finals, I also Dallas and Edmonton will be in the other side. for Panthers and the Leafs, we will know after Wednesday.

I don't think Toronto should try to play Florida's game. It won't work. They need to avoid getting dragged down into the petty stuff. With that said, I think they've been pretty consistent at sticking to their system, but during the last two games they were losing battles on parts of the ice where they've traditionally had some success. Florida took it up a gear. Toronto did not.

I'm hoping for a bit of a reset at home. This is the real test for what this team can do. All even, high stakes, best of three against a battle hardened and seasoned opponent.

Maurice switched up and put Barkov’s line against Tavares line, they were hurting FL in Toronto, and I think he also thought he’d get more offense from his top line in that matchup. He put Lundell’s line on M&M, as he has faith in their abilities against big guns. We’ll see what Berube may try in way of matching lines.
But, I think it was more of FL just realizing that they had to take it up a couple of notches if they wanted to beat this Leafs team. I imagine Leafs will come out on fire trying to flip the script in game 5.

I'm not sure the Leafs rush him back in, especially given how Woll played in Game 4.

Not sure what Chief will do here, and will it be the right call if Stolie is ready?

Thats the thing, if Barkov is shutting down the 2nd line and Lundell shuts down the 1st, that leaves a huge mismatch in favor of Florida when the Bennett line is out there.

Pressure's on Florida, they have to win one on the road where they cant dictate matchups. But I like their 3 lines more than Torontos.

100%. Probably the best third line in hockey and they've shown it most of this series.

Toronto's big guns (outside of JT) have to get going. I know we've heard that before, but now it's put up or shut up time. Pick your cliche.

IMO, Woll has earned one more game.

Both goals against wasn't a bad goal given up.

A 5-4 PP goal when the 5-3 just expired and the defensemen having a miscommunication allowing Bennett easy net access.

I will say the part about ripping the C off Matthews was my own thought.

But they did get into Knies being one of the only ones to show leadership and toughness. Also one of the only ones who can & will stand up to Tkachuk (reference to defending Lil Willy)

Yeah, Benny should never have had time to just calmly walk into the middle like that after getting him down. Woll has been really good.

I don't think that Florida play with any pressure. Winning this series is way more important for the Leafs than it is for the Panthers. Wouldn't be a big deal at tall for them and the fans if they lose. But Toronto...especially after leading 2-0....different story...

I think you have to roll with Woll again for game 5 even if Stolarz is 100% ready to go. His play earned another start, and when you have a tandem of two good goaltenders like Toronto does, especially come playoff time, it's one of their nets until they lose it with a bad game.

I don't put any weight in the 2-0 lead when it comes to overall pressure. If they were swept, or if they lose in 7, it's an equally disappointing end and will likely yield the same results going into the offseason.

Win the series and gain some favor, losing regardless is an abject failure no matter the number of games.
