I think whoever wins tomorrow should be considered the favorite to win the Cup. I know the Leafs had made some conference finals in the Sundin era but this feels like the biggest game for the team since the Game 7 Conference Final against Gretzky. Whole future of the team hangs in the balance of the result. I have no idea who will win and anyone telling you otherwise is lying to themselves. The whole series has been unpredictable.

I’ve met a lot of great leaf fans and some are my close friends or even family. Problem is the leafs have a huge following of people who aren’t really hockey fans they are just leaf fans. If the leafs didn’t exist I don’t think they would care about hockey. They don’t know much of anything regarding the rest of the league. I think it’s an extension of people in Toronto in general. It’s where the whole center of the universe joke comes from.
I don't watch other NHL games after the Leafs are out simply because I'm tired of watching other teams win. I have a hard time bandwagoning any team because I genuinely don't care.

The only hockey I'll watch after they're out is any SCF elimination game.

Don’t really love the sport then. Oilers missed the playoffs for 10 straight years at one point and I still watched every playoffs. I’m not glued to it like if my team is in but I still watch a lot of it.

Expected a game 7 after that poor game 5 by the Leafs, Fla is very beatable this season.

Game 7 is more of a mindgame, Fla has the experience and Leafs homeadvantage can be just more pressure.

Could go either way, have really no idea, other that the goalies will have a big impact of the outcome.
If it comes down to Bob vs Woll I don’t love Toronto’s chances

I think every fan base experiences this to an extent but you’re right the sheer numbers can exacerbate the situation
Well for some it's just an excuse to be part of the party. The Leaf players are advertised repeatedly, they are treated like demiGods in Toronto specifically but even well known around Canada and around the globe.

I'm old enough to have been in my youth when the Jays won back to back in 92 and 93. A million people were downtown walking the streets on game night. It was unmatched. Multiple women walking by hugging and kissing me and I know I'm not alone. It was a hell of a fun night and you couldn't get more people out there if we had just won a war.

Not everyone was into sports as my circle of friends were but everyone was a Jays fan that night and even the casual fan knew the players names.

If the Leafs win, it will make that insane scene seem mild, especially with this group as they have been together for a decade. I hope it occurs and I would envy those younger fans who will be a part of such a massive party on game night and any subsequent parade.

Game 7 could go either way. Florida is not as good as last year, when they steamrolled everyone in the East. Toronto is a bounce away and needed 6 games for Ottawa + 3 OTs. Florida is struggling with Toronto.

In fairness Woll has been lights out in elimination games last two years. Leafs will feel more pressure but could also make them hungrier. First goal is massive. If Florida scores it, whole crowd will get anxious and sticks will grip tighter. This is the biggest second round game I can recall in a very, very long time.

Why are they worse ? Injury perhaps but on paper they actually look better

There are other hockey leagues.

Just because I only care about one NHL team doesn't mean I don't watch hockey.

Plus, I'm petty as hell, and a lifetime of being mocked and the butt of all jokes has soured my feelings toward the rest of the NHL fanbases.

Florida takes game 7. For no other reason for me other than it's just history repeating itself. Last year I correctly predicted before the start of the finals that the Panthers would win in 7, because that's been the norm for the past 20 years when it's a US vs. Canada final.

The hockey world is a simulation.

Bob is normally the much better goalie and has winning experience, but he can be solved.

Woll more up and down, held Leafs in the game, 1st period of game 5, then it didnt held anymore, the team let him down. The shutout in game 6 also boosting his confidence.

I see you just joined, yes that how the forums work, basically said in comment, both sides are doing it.
Yes. Of course. But in fact, you denied you did it. " I didn’t bring it up, I replied to a comment." I just corrected the inconsistencies of your statement. It's OK. Sorry for the late response.

Bob has played in 14 elimination games in his career with a 6-8 record and 881sv% and 3.64 gaa
What are the numbers like if you eliminate putrid Columbus teams ? Listen I’m not saying he’s amazing but he’s led them to 2 straight cup appearances ( and a win ) . I desperately hope I’m wrong as this Leaf fan is due for some good luck

just hoping for the refs to swallow the whistle a little bit. The last 3 games Florida has been gifted some pretty weak PPs. Not complaining because in games 1-2 it seemed Toronto was too. I would just like to see them not call a bunch of ticky-tacky calls tomorrow. f that.

lol at bennett for taking out 3 goalies in this series alone. there's something really wrong w that guy. id love to have him on my team but he's wreckless.

matthews-marner need a big game 7 to shut people like me up. if they get stonewalled tomorrow and get sent home, 2 goals between them over 7 games is disgusting, given how they have never went into god mode before on a playoff run.

Ekblad can take a hike. he's the dirtiest player in the series by far. i would love to see him get cracked.

If Max Domi takes 1 single bad penalty in g7 i would bench him. hes a spark plug but has the discipline of a degen gambler.

Woll has been really good, though.
I wonder how Bob’s head is feeling today
This series has been a microcosm of his whole season ....Very up and down.....

Not sure if it will be in T.O. or not but he could be a legit number 1 someday........Probably would need a good backup to ease the workload and have him rested for the polayoffs though.........
