Start of thread one I said Leafs in 7. Well both teams have lost 3 games now, each team with 1 big stinker (game 1 Panthers game 5 Leafs). I didn't think the Leafs had it in them to fight back like that after game 5.

I gotta stick with my prediction and say the Leafs take game 7 and make it to the ECF for the first time since 2002

Cant have crushing defeat without optimism. Would have been too easy to lose on the road in 6.

But in all honestly I'd love to see the leafs pull this off. For as many Leaf fans here that write obnoxious stuff there are still a lot that deserve to see a winning team. Till the finals at least.

With that being said, this game is going to be a coinflip.

Original vote was Leafs in 7, going to come down to who's hungrier and who plays a more disciplined game. Expecting another super tight checking game where teams are playing physical but safe hockey.

Time for this group to show everyone who they really are. All year they've been playing a different brand of hockey, new coach and a lot of new guys. Can they finally overcome and win a game 7 and finally get out of the 2nd round ? Or more of the same ?

This core knows, their future as a core/team depends on this game. Biggest game for the Matthews era Leafs, pumped for it.

In all honesty, I thought he called a great game earlier in the series. No shenanigans or controversy.

I think his issue was with Keefe and since he's no longer here, seems like he's doing his job ethically.

Its amazing how many think winning this game 7 means cup. What nonsense. . There the well rested Carolina hurricanes who have been at this run at cup for years under rod brind amour . Also there the stars Oilers and jets on the other side . A lot of hopium here.

I haven't seen anyone say that. But I also think most folks think both of these teams can beat Carolina
