It was worse than the Leafs record and Florida is playing over the cap with Ekblad back/Tkachuk/Marchand all joining the team after the deadline/in the playoffs.

If Florida had this roster all season they likely finish with more points than Carolina as well, considering they had 1 point less than Carolina and were resting players.
Fine whatever you say all I know they enjoying you guys pounding each other out. If it goes to overtime better yet. They in solid position here.

last season the cats almost choked a 3-0 stanley cup lead so I am not so sure about that last year stuff. If they close this out next game no one will remember this game tonight.
The truth is that no one is going to remember this game anyway. It's the 6th game of the second round. Name the last 6th game of the second round anyone remembers (especially when it didn't end a series)?

Please I'm sure you would rather finish a team in 5 then playing a game exhausting game 7. More nonsense talk.

It doesn’t really make a difference. Florida was waiting for Toronto this series because they beat Tampa in 5 and Toronto had to play Game 6.

Leafs took a 2-0 series lead.

That wasn't my point. Point was simply this cats teams killer instinct last year didnt show up till game 7 last year. Before that they got manhandled by the golden knights in 5 games. But between these two teams only one of them has ever shown a killer instinct at all.

The more you play the more chances players go to infirmary. Stolarz seeing tweety bird because of bennett hit and now knies waist looks toast. The more you play the more chances of injury. It's that simple. Canes sitting pretty.

Sure, on the flip side, the more you sit the more rusty you get

Depends what kind of series it is. If the Leafs finished
the Panthers off in 4 or 5, Knies doesn’t get the injury he had tonight and the Leafs defencemen don’t need to play 2/3 more games against that Florida forecheck.

Carolina played 10 games of relatively low-physical hockey while the Leafs will have 13 games of pretty grueling hockey. I’d still take the Leafs in that series but Carolina would be getting an advantage they haven’t had prior.

This stuff about "killer instinct" is just another label that people like to use. If they had some grand killer instinct they would have never lost a game. They lost three in a row to Edmonton because Edmonton played really well in those games. They lost to Toronto tonight because Toronto played well tonight. I don't think it's any more complicated than that.

The other guy brought up the killer instinct. I was replying to his comments. We will soon see if your leafs can finally close out a second round series. I am pulling for them, but I have very little faith they will win next game.

I don't think there's any truth to a team having more success if they wrap the series early although I haven't looked into it and won't look into it. My eye test always thinks the rested team looks rusty in game 1 and the game 7 team looks sharp because well they just played a game 7.

Got to give respect when it's earned. That was a very solid game defensively from the Leafs today. They kept Cats out from scoring chances. They also blocked a lot of shots, like they have done all the series. Didn't see this coming.

But this have been very physical series. Who ever continues they may have to pay the price later. Canes have had much easier way to conference finals.

The Leafs will win. I think it might actually end up being a bit of a laugher where the leafs win by 3 or 4 goals because Maurice has to pull his goalie with 5 minutes left in the third.

Bingo post right there.

Not sure but knies doesnt look right? Maybe I missed something.

Yeah, but we don’t even know if it’s an injury or discomfort. He was playing through it this game, so if it isn’t an injury it’ll likely be better for Game 7.

If it’s an injury, guess Robertson is in again. That guy is basically a guaranteed goal after a scratch.
