It’s possible. Stamkos does have more experience. My comparison was more about Stamkos being one of the hottest goal scorers in the NHL prior to injuries forcing him to change his game. His 60 goal season created a lot of buzz about him being a generational goal scorer(just like Matthew’s 69 goal season) prior to never really hitting that level as a pure goal scorer again.
Like Stamkos, I expect Matthews to remain a number one center. I just don’t know if we’ll see him flirting with 69 goals given all these injuries etc
Steal a game? Our current goalie is out of position after every shot. He is way too unstable to be playing in the playoffs

I said he pinched . after Benoit rifled it around the boards from a few feet inside the blueline that suddenly MM is last man for on the other side. And for what gain. Just a really weird awkward play by Benoit who is a better skater and puck carrier than he knows

Panthers are highly unlikable. It’s not one play, it’s how they play the entire game. It’s not effective either for the most part.

Second and fourth were his fault. He loses focus so easily.
But let's face it, the score is deserved. They haven't been very good defensively at all. With a 3-1 lead all you had to do was lock it down and play mistake-free hockey. Rielly turned the tide.
The powerplay refuses to use what is successful...just shoot the puck...stop passing it deep in the corner. Nylander and Matthews have no chance to shoot.
Matthews is being paid 13.5M for his defence apparently. Plus he has been so lackadaisacal with the puck.
On the positive side, we're only down a goal, we can still win this. Fourth line goal coming up, they've been good again. Let's gooo.

The series is going 6 or 7 imo.
The Panthers have put everything into these two periods. We should have opportunities to really test their energy levels.
