I missed the first period. I know the numbers. But how are we playing?
Any injuries?

Started off slow. PP sucked except for that one goal.
First line has sucked badly
3rd line has been our best line
No injuries
Woll has been ok

Matthews and Marner are getting hammered at 5 on 5 again. I'd switch Domi, Nylander and Marner.

Knies - Matthews -Domi
Patches - Tavares -Marner
McMann - Holmberg - Nylander
Lorentz - Laughton - Jarnkrok

That isn't the problem at all lol.
When was the last time we saw Matthews play like the biggest goal scorer on the planet in the playoffs? That's what bugs me.

Like the last couple of years, Marner is starting to look for Knies instead. And I think that's going to be the big difference this time; it's no longer Zach Hyman bobbling the puck behind the net from a prime chance.

The word must be out our 1st PP unit panics when rushed.
These guys had ample time to show something instead they carp the bed each time. Break them up & insert couple of blue color guys like Patches, Domi or Laughton or even Benoit with his hard shot or his tours around the globe lol.
Correct.

I don't think we need to go full nuclear right now. Just swap Nylander and Marner for a period and see what happens.

The top 2 lines are the only two working... "break it up"...

Even if you dislike the top line right now, 2nd line is hot, why break them up?

Sure but it isn't speed, it's execution.

Benny took a couple runs at Bennetpos, he needs to be careful not to get caught and chasing... Almost did.

The time will come for Bennetpos to get his.

That last PP...
Marner 10 feet from the net = Lets do an awkward pass to Matthews.
Marner at the blueline = Ah yes, I shall shoot from here.
Why is he like this?
Sure looks like he's in one of those moods tonight. Shoots when he should pass, passes when he should shoot.

No, I've complimented him non-stop this year, I said he was a large reason we won many games, clown.

I don't understand the love for him, clearly he is not built for the playoffs, right? right? Playoffs are a different game, his numbers are terrible.
Well, watch more regular-season games, then see why some people like him.

If you want to make a judgment based on 6 and a half games, fine. Seems drenched in bias and sour grapes, though.

Agreed. He's playing fine. Not up to his cap hit, but fine. He's just not executing and his shot isn't anywhere near what it has been.

He also shouldn't be responsible for entering the zone on the PP. His backhand pass to the winger is always wayward.

Panthers more like themselves that period but we kept up our game too. Some nervous puck flubs but I like the energy overall. McMann just has to keep the speed up and good things will happen.

Marchand must have felt left out last game because he is his geeesy self tonight. Good on leafs keeping calm on the revenge stuff, that moment will come. Just like their patient consistent game, sure as water is wet, Bennett will be hurting at the right time.
Yeah and not that many flubs, really. We got a PP goal, Woll's looking pretty good, we tied it up after giving up the first goal, more good than bad IMO. So far so good, I never expected it to be easy anyway. GLG!!
