That was a huge goal to get the game even after one.

Crowd back into it.

Need to just keep at it and win some five on five shifts.

The Panthers look confused as to why the Leafs are not turtling.

Marner and Matthews not good enough. Again.

Woll was satisfactory, but wasn't called to do much.

One thing I’ve noticed so far. Florida can’t handle our forecheck or speed. Once we get in their zone and pressure their D they are having a hard time getting the possession of the puck. The Panthers thrive on counter attacks. Once they can’t get posession quick enough it bogs down their whole game plan. Outside of that Powerplay goal that’s another period dominated by the Leafs 5v5

Let's hope that was the 1 bad goal Woll gives up every game.

He's usually solid after the 1 brutal goal though, so maybe he can settle in knowing that monkey's off his back already!

Glad Patches netted one, but that powerplay tries to do way too much. Florida pressures the point and that's dangerous when you're overpassing. They need to throw it on net, or force the play down low, and let your big bodies in Knies, Tavares or Pacioretty clean it up.

The puck needs to move quicker with the first unit against this aggressive PK.

They fall into the habit of holding it for a split second too long and the puck movement becomes predictable.

Leafs have dominated 3 out of the first 4 periods. That was a massive goal at the end of the period

Just needed one before the period ended. Mission accomplished.

There was no doubt in my mind that Patches needed to play in this playoffs. Berube kept him in during a tough short stretch and he's been one of the big factors thus far.

Once the guys a bit older get going, they are going to be a force. It's like an old car in the winter, You have to warm it up for an extra couple of minutes but you know it's reliable enough over the years to just open it up on the highway.

Look at Perry. I see JT in that mold eventually too.
