Marchand with 2 slew foots and a dive and it's only the first period. Florida probably finds themselves in the box a lot more this game.

Big one by Patches to tie at the end. Way more Panthery hockey from Florida tonight. Doubt they let up, so Leafs will need to have to curb the sloppiness a bit. Some turnovers that weren't forced in the period they'll need to clean up. You definitely feel better about the Leafs in a game like this compared to the past. More composure, willing to play heavier, you're not seeing Florida dominate and just hope to survive.

Florida will get worse as the game goes on. They are completely neutralized at even strength. Berube is running circles around Maurice.

I don't see that at all.

Maple Leafs defense is handling the puck well and with confidence. They aren't turning the puck over like some might think they would under a Panthers forecheck.

He even started moving back towards his crease and then subtly slid back into 63 path. Almost looked like someone setting a pick, lol.
Definitely looking for a call with the fall. Ref didn’t buy it
