I’ll be happy with a split at home. There are going to be stretches where we look real bad, this team pressures like we’ve rarely seen, but we are also resilient and can reverse the dump game on them now.

I remember Panthers fans used to complain about how their team played in the playoffs.

I recall they lost it during/after that series against the Islanders. Even Barkov was considered too nonchalant.

The Tkachuk trade really changed everything. Shedding Huberdeau and bringing in a guy like Tkachuk altered the team's identity. Now the Panthers are respected for their grit and tenacity and considered miserable to play against.

The Lightning were considered too soft to win in the playoffs as well before their back to back wins.

It is possible to change your image and shed the labels of being soft, timed, mentally weak etc. But it takes a hell of a lot of effort, commitment and winning to do so. Beating FLA would go a long way toward making TOR much more respected (though not necessarily liked).

Toronto should hit Tlachuk everytime they can, he's clearly not healthy so let make him pay everytime he touch the puck. Do Same thing with Barkov who probably also still injured. Be the agressor and make their life miserable

Leafs have a better top 6 and 4th line on paper. Just need the core to actually play how they're expected to. Reinhart and Barkov are both selke caliber. Let's see how our 2 selke caliber players Matthews and Marner match up

Florida's 3rd line scares me a bit.
