The way to beat NYR,, as we've discussed at length is to get them penned in their zone, collapsed in front of net and just fire point shots all night long looking for caroms. It's not high-percentage, but they go in eventually.

Doc Emrick is that you? :sarcasm:

Not the big bad Bruins of old, nowhere near the cup winning team. Like all opponents I respect them but I don't fear them. I'd love a short series with us prevailing but it will be tough with 7 games needing 5 OT's to be decided 1-0.

Ference is hurt, Seidenberg is hurt, Redden is hurt, they have a teenager playing in the POs for the first time, and Chara playing more than half the game.

To me the key to the series is the blue line. If the Rangers can wear down a depleted B's blueline with their forecheck and the Rangers top D can shut down the Lucic line and Bergeron then they are in good shape.

If Redden plays he will be booed every time he touches the puck. I personally hold nothing against him, but its the POs so bring on the boos.

That's I think what it will come down to. This might also give Nash the space he needs. We also have an advantage if it comes down to a 6-7 game series as Boston seems to whittle down hard the longer it lasts.

Hey all new member here long time fan can't wait till series starts Lucic kinda scares me he's big and mean which is why we need Clowe back, heres hoping.

This is going to be a war. Anyone who thinks otherwise is in for a wake up call.

Bruins have great depth and a very physical team. Bergeron is probably the best forward in the series.

Low scoring. Heart attack special.

No need to soften up, pound away at their D on the forecheck.

Phil Kessel was throwing checks on Chara.

Match up McDonagh - Girardi against Lucic - Krejci - Horton and roll the dice with the rest. If Ference/Seidenberg miss time, that's huge. If Staal/Clowe could come back in some form, that would be even bigger.

Eminger easily had his best game of the series in game 7, but he is still a defensive liability out there. A healthy Staal would put this defense over the top.

McDonagh - Girardi
Staal - Stralman
Moore - MDZ

*drool*

The biggest question is which team shows up?

The team from games 6 and 7, or the team from the earlier part of the series that looked just lost. Because the difference in play was night and day.

Going from making the safe plays to a full on transition game. Near no puck possession to full on puck possession.

I liked what the Leafs did against Chara. They put Orr out there for a couple of shifts against Chara to hit him. Now, we don't have anyone who hits like Orr, but sending out guys like Dorsett and Asham to target Chara with clean hits might not be such a bad thing.

Rangers need Clowe.

The Bruins are going to goon it up if they are down and the Rangers need an answer for it.
