Protecting buyout asset by scracthing Richards tonight? Can't buyout an injured player if the season ends tonight.

Hamrlik stinks.. Bickel should play today.. at least he is more useful than Hamrlik.
 
Hard to get a read on what the lineup is going to be tonight.

Are Richards and Asham getting extra work in with Powe (who replaces Kreider)? Are Haley and Newbury in for Richards and Asham? If so, what is Kreider still doing out there? I guess we'll find out shortly.

Was just scanning here to see about your line up tonight. Saw this post, my God I had forgotten how bad the Bruins were banged up against the Flyers. Savard was 1/10th of himself at that point as well.

Good luck guys, I am excited for this Game 4 (naturally).

No way you bench Richards, that's like admitting defeat, no? Even for the reason of buying him out, seems crazy.

I cannot believe they're scratching Richie.... Not saying he doesn't deserve it, but in favor of Haley and Newbury? That's just confirming that the 4th line of Haley-Newbury-Asham plays about 4 minutes. Then Hamrlik would play about 8. Apparently everyone else is being triple shifted. McD may play 40 minutes tonight.
 
Richards went from our supposed elite 1st line center, to a 4th line healthy scratch in a playoff elimination game in about 1 and a half seasons.

No words.
 
There is no shot they s scratch asham he's been one of the best players this playoffs. At least he plays with some heart.
 
He probably deserves it.. but its hard not to feel bad for the guy.

Good its fitting that his last game as a Ranger will be from the press box where he can't hurt his team. And if its for Haley I'm gonna laugh pretty loud because thats what I wanted but never actually thought the Rangers brass would have the balls to do it.
 
Richards has struggled all season, but I still believe that Tortorella hasn't helped him much. I don't like the move to have Newbury & Haley entered in the lineup.

I'm still hoping for a surprise addition of Ryan Clowe tonight.

Oh well, I really want to send this back to Boston and see what happens.
 
Don't understand why Pyatt is playing over Asham, but can't really complain because I'm so giddy that the front office had the cajones to scratch Richards.

Pyatt was the only Ranger besides Hank to show up in game 3
