Callahan really shoots a lot directly into the skates/legs if a guy in front of me.

Real good period though.

Paging Nash..

Wow that play for Grabovski would've been amazing if he tap it in below the bar. Well still awesome.

Solid first, hope Clowe and Strålman is alright, praying that it's nothing bad with Strålmans knee.

Stralman came back and played a shift and then he didn't come to the interview. Weird stuff. Who would have thought 2 years ago that Stralman would be this important to the team. I hope he's okay.

Callahan has to wake up... who does he think he is on the rush, Datsyuk? Chill with the turnovers.

Enough with the 5 on 5 PKs. You can't let this team cycle like that in your zone for a minute at a time. They are giving me a heart attack. Did the end of the period really have to come down to that? 10 seconds to go? JUST EFFIN' ICE IT!!!

Hags has got to start burying these breakaways. Pressured from behind and all but he had 5-hole.

Can't get on Nash/Beaver; no time and no room. Washington is still daring the role guys to beat them... and they are.

Other than that it was a nice period. BrassGOD is BrassGOD. The team is engaged. Henrik already looks much better than he did in Game 4. Next goal is absolutely huge. I'm feeling it's coming from Nash out of nowhere. They win this period and they are in an incredible position to go home with a chance to move on.

I said it a bit earlier. There's always 2 men on Nash. Two things need to happen:

1. The rest of the team needs to use that, and get into space

2. Nash needs to see them, and pass

Looks like zucc decided to hit the net today. 3 shots on goal in 6 min, one was really close to going in, looked like knob of goalie stick and out.

Love the energy from everyone but Casper and Nash. Strålman is awesome, Brassard is a stud

If Washington gets all wrapped up in containing Nash, and look mostly like crap offensively while doing so, I don't mind.

Though I do wish Nash was a force. I still think he will get it going, unless he is actually injured to the extent that it affects his movement.

I think we need to be clear on number 2.

Rick, when Nils says "pass", he doesn't mean throw it backhanded in between 5 Capitals.

And by that he means stop sucking!

I was being pretty hard on Callahan, but praised him after game 4 where I thought he was excellent.

Unfortunately he seems to have fallen back into old, bad, habits. His head seems to have relocated back into his rectum.
