It’s a lot to ask to win a game when 1 shot makes it to the net in 20 minutes.

That's true. Still 2 more periods. Just saying if you only looked at the shot totals you would think one team was hemmed in the entire period and didn't have anything at all going in the OZ. That was not the case.

Leafs did a good job blocking some shots and the Bruins did a poor job actually hitting the net when they did shoot.

I don't think the shot total tells the story. Leafs had a slight edge but Boston mostly played their typical rope-a-dope keeping high danger chances low. Leafs are dealing with their counter punches better, but it's still a pretty even game.

How long did it take to figure out 4 forward PPs and pulling goalies earlier than 19:30? Shit it took 50 years to figure out the slap shot. NHL might be the least innovative major league in the world, new ideas move at a glacial pace. Safe keeps coaches and GMs employed, that’s all they really care about.
