Whatever happens happens. My hope, though, is that this is a case of a veteran, playoff experienced team sticking it to a young, mostly inexperienced team. I hope and pray we just didn’t find out the hard way that a chunk of our veteran core and our vezina-nominated goalie are not playoff performers.

Because, while that game wasn't a "must win," the team needed to have a strong showing after a shaky Game 3. They came out and did the exact opposite. You can deal with a 3-2 loss, rationalizing that PIT had home ice, controlled the matchups, maybe had a bit of puck luck, etc. What we got was the worst single game playoff performance I've ever personally seen, and the most statistically lopsided NHL playoff games in years.
Think of the bright side, only way to go is up.

Haha look at his purse.

Rangers in 7. They'll still be playing by the time i get over the Rona. Guaranteed

the fact lindgren isn't playing tonight after how the team was spineless in the last game and is on the brink means whatever the injury is rather significant. he is a gamer and I would imagine he would be playing through virtually anything if he were physically able to.

Listen I understand there are many factors as to why the Rangers are losing this series and they are valid. The injuries at key spots have thrown everything out of sync and their lack of experience was jarring in Pittsburgh.

What I cant absolve them for is the lack of pushback throughout the lineup. They rolled over and died in a critical playoff game and not one player wanted to make it hard for the Penguins or send any semblance of a physical message. No one took charge and tried to make a play when they were down. Cant happen in the playoffs.

Trouba and Strome and others can say all they want in the media availability about "we know what it takes" or "we know what we have to do", but that doesn't make it true. They look soft and they look like frauds right now.

That said, I'll be right there with them tonight and on Sunday for Game 7 if they can prove me wrong and make it there. No more excuses.
You're right about the physical pushback not being there and while the entire situation is far from any one player's fault, isn't that exactly why the Rangers acquired Reaves and why he's in the lineup?

The definition of insanity: trying the same thing over and over and expecting different results. How about switching up the lines? What do you have to lose? I’ve grown tired of Gallant faster than I tired of AV. Can’t stand the guy’s stubbornness and rigidity.

If Zibby doesn't find a way to turn his game around then it's going to take a lot to earn my trust back. Let's start by scoring a few goals and shutting down the Crosby line tonight.

I'm afraid its probably the latter

I'll be golfing during the game, Rongos will be joining me shortly after i feel.

Totally agree on Reaves. Nothing more than a cheerleader at this point sadly.

I'll be watching, and I hope they win; but that babyshit soft performance last game has left me much more indifferent than I normally would be.
