DB listened to your prays guys at last, after Vokoun, Vitale and Kennedy being in, Iggy is paired with Sid and Dupuis and Kunitz make the switch on the second line.

Now.. a win. But that first period was not really positive offensively wise, and Vokoun have to make 2 nice saves to avoid a first Islanders goal. Wheels keep rolling for them.

I think some of you guys are over analyzing that period. The Pens shored some things up and Vokoun looked decent. The Islanders are fast and skilled. They are going to get chances. I don't know what some expect here. It's like the Pens are playing terrible if they are not completely dominating the other team.

Crosby has been playing like this since he got hit it the neck with the puck last game. It didn't seem a place where one could get seriously injured, but it sure seems something is off with Sid since.

This was a worrying first period. Isles seem to be the better team and are outplaying the Pens again. They are simply playing a counter game and for some reason Bylsma keeps playing into their hands. Niskanen has been the most disappointing player in this series, when we leave Fleury out of this discussion.
