If Bob dropped his stick on purpose that was simply a smart play.

You may not like the rule and I wouldn't mind if they changed it but this call was perfectly in line with precedence.

Carey Price did this all the time, initiating contact and pretending like it impeded him even if he could easily make the save. If the player goes into the crease himself, a smart goalie can negate any goal.

Skate to make skate, he lost his stick…don’t touch the goalie. They’re clearly trying to rattle Bob and get in his face. Great job refs.
He didn't touch the goalie he drops his stick to extend his blocker to try and make the save saying a skate tap that happened way before the shot had anything to do with him being set up for the shot is homerish.

I think Tampa will come back and they deserve this one, 2 questionable overturned calls and Florida doesnt score on the PP

Cirelli's skate makes contact with Bobrovsky's skate as he begins the spin.
Bare contact shouldn't mean automatic goalie interference. Didn't affect Bob's ability to move or stop the puck. Its not like Cirelli tripped his ass or anything. You do need to protect the goalie and allow them to try and make the save, but that doesn't mean you should put a magical force field around them and say that so much as touching them should negate every goal scored against them.

Bob had every opportunity to make the save and didn't and the puck went past him. He's just lucky the refs are dumb as bricks that he got two called back in this game.

When he spun into the goalie he was a foot into the crease and his skate hit the skate of the goalie as well. Whether he dropped it or not doesn’t matter. Look beyond the stick.

I disagree. The ref clearly goes to Cirrelli after the goal and points at the stick. That was the reason it didn’t count initially on the ice.

I’ll never have sympathy for Tampa but that waved off goal was BS. That’s weak as hell. Hate that call
His skate clipped the goalie’s skate when he spun. Ppl need to realize this and go back and look. Once you do you’ll understand.

Way before? It was during the rotation that interfered with Bob. Mikkola was standing there.

Was a good call.

They call goalie interference for players standing in the crease before a shot. It's a rule that like cap circumvention, should probably be addressed.

This is a slippery slope. Might be more clear on this play but isn't on a lot of others. Last thing we need is the idiots at the NHL head office making subjective calls.

Did Bowness go from 45 to 70 overnight or what?

Tochett looks and sounds young for his age and the way he played. Had to look it up - he's 60? No way. Woooowwww.

Cirelli didn't have to move into the crease either.

Yup. The goal was going in regardless. Refs made the loud announcement of their on ice call “was confirmed” by the play like they were offended by the challenge. Very testosterone response.

The 'contact' was brushing against Bob. Didn't even do enough to move him in the slightest. Weak ass calls in a weak ass league that hates any kind of physical contact these days.
It’s like real estate, it’s all about the location
It happened in the crease.
Not going to overturn that.
