Intent to blow doesn't mean the whistle is near mouth. That's the stupid vagueness about the rule. The Sportnet panel is looking at various camera angles and it doesn't look like either ref was really looking to blow their whistle and they were discussing how long do you allow the play to go on without a whistle before you stop the play.
I'm also a Sox fan from Boston. I remember them being down 3-0 in the series and thinking to myself as I lay in bed, "might as well stay up and watch, probably the last game at Fenway until April" especially after that pasting the Yankees put on them in game 3. Yeah, I was dead wrong. I was tired the next day at work but it was worth itI’m no Sox fan but man was I ever in ‘04. That comeback was f***ing epic and that Damon grand slam. Never forget it.
You can see all of the players have stopped playing, though. (By the time you first see the puck)Sportnet has the replay with sound on full and there's no whistle heard whatsoever. Sucks that it didn't count though.
Funny Biz thought it was a goal
GOAT. He was so insistent on authenticity he faked the moon landings by filming on the Moon.Kubrick was murdered, he knew too much ....
You are missing my point, that I have mentioned several times. There is no single angle to show it was over. So it's no goal.
There are 2 angles that show it was over, 1 showing which part of the pad it was under and another showing that part of the pad was over the line. But unfortunately for the Leafs you can't call it a good goal like that, you need one angle showing the puck clearly over the line, not deductive reasoning showing proving it's over.
I was 100% sure it was under his skate, and during the commotion he shuffled it up to the line before getting up.Bob is a champ. Logically, that's very likely in but he did a great job covering it. Was never conclusively in while the play was alive.
I think the Leafs suck![]()

What do you think?
No it didn't. Puck clearly hit the goalie's skate and went up under the pad. The one angle showed it drop down when he started to stand up and it hadn't gone over yet. Play was clearly dead.Puck crosses the line. No whistle.
NHL: No goal.
f*** off.
It has to be conclusive and this isn't that.![]()

Last goal wins.Next goal wins
TNT broadcast has been very fair in their coverage imo
Yeah his pad's in the way. But to me, the part of the pad that the puck's under clearly is fully in the net. But yeah, can't call via inference, I guess.Don't see any white?
Lmao.No it didn't. Puck clearly hit the goalie's skate and went up under the pad. The one angle showed it drop down when he started to stand up and it hadn't gone over yet. Play was clearly dead.
Florida didn't exactly inspire confidence in that period, I think the Leafs will pull this out.
How can a ref stop a game without a whistle lolRefs stopped the play but apparently there was no whistle. Well 1st time for everything.
Sounds just like the goal in Game 1 Toronto vs Tampa. No it didn't. Puck clearly hit the goalie's skate and went up under the pad. The one angle showed it drop down when he started to stand up and it hadn't gone over yet. Play was clearly dead.
