We're using and a run-and-gun line that scored a bunch of goals in a shutdown role. It's a problem with the roster.

Time will tell. I don't think the top veterans as currently composed are the types that can win us a cup. They just don't have that edge that winners have nor the style. They are completely unwilling to alter their style for what is required. Our young kids on the other hand show a ton of promise and for that I'm optimistic.

We don't need to be going back to the draft at this point. We kept our 1st. That's all we needed to do.

I'll say it again. Whiffing on the Andersson pick in the 2017 draft set this team back a decade.

This organization NEEDED to hit on that pick and they absolutely whiffed on what was supposed to be a safe bet to be a 3rd line center. f*** Lias Andersson, f*** Keith McCambridge, and f*** John Davidson for his part in it too.

To be fair, that was a bad time to need a quality center. Robert Thomas I guess but nobody was taking him at 7.

We also won two lotteries when the absolute burn-down-Manhattan-if-we-don't-take-them consensus picks were wingers.

I don't think we need to move mountains. I think we need a guy that specializes in faceoffs and defense. Antione Vermette would be nice (not literally him, he's like 46, but somebody like him).

I was interested in trying Goodrow in that role, but it seems like the Rangers actually shelled out all that money for a 4th line wing. That's a perplexing move in retrospect.

Why is Reaves not out there ending someones life?

Because the idea of Reaves ending anyone’s life is a fallacy. The guy has had some of the most unwarranted hype since he went to Vegas. NBC would highlight his matchups like he wasn’t a 10 point per season plug who wasn’t going to fight anyone of significance because players of significance don’t risk injury and take 5+ minutes in the box to take a guy like Reaves with them. I like Reaves as a team guy and his personality is probably good for the room and the kids, but he’s not the boogie man people act like he is. He and Maroon are two of the most overrated “OMG SO TUFF” players to ever play.
