After I looked into the numbers I can’t stop fixating on how Graves isn’t a good PKer. The staff keeps running him out like he’s amazing.

The PK has been way better because other guys have been able to do it more.

He’s been very good at leaving Kreider wide open in front of the goalie

That’s sort of the Devils PK system.

The goalie is expected to handle a player that is standing next to them. It’s not totally unusual at the NHL to play that way.

It works well except if you give the opponents too much time with the puck and/or the down low guy is really good. There aren’t many really good down low guys anymore.
