Peace Bruin fans. An fyi of interest. Ben Harpur #67 is on D for the Senators for Boro -> he is up for off season shoulder surgery so it may have caught up to him. Harpur played his first few NHL games at the end of the season and looked good - big guy, decent skating, good hands, played smart and kept it simple. Playoffs is different of course.

Watching the gong show from visiting team with Mod warnings on the Caps board, glad to have the Bruins this round. More hockey, less circus.

It's almost comical how civil the Bruins vs. Sens thread is on the main board, it's like we are frenemies.

Good luck!

Leafs fans in the playoffs are like a young puppy in a new home. All scrambling and sliding around, not knowing where to go or how to act, and more likely than not they end up peeing on the floor. We had a whole litter of them in here at the end of the season. Our mods had to send them to the pound.

“Tommy’s a good pro,†said Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy, who worked with the defenseman for parts of five seasons in Providence. “He’s a captain down there. He’ll give everything he’s got. Whether that helps us win or not tonight, to be determined if he goes in.

“But I’m not concerned about Tommy’s game in terms of being nervous or anything like that. It’s just having not played up here this year, it’s a bit of the unknown like the other guys.â€

It is not fun to be left behind, however gracious Cross might be.

“When a guy gets called up, you’re happy for him,†Cross said. “We follow along. Most recently, Charlie comes up and does a great job. We’re all chatting about it down there. Same thing with [Sean Kuraly]. You’re happy for it. Especially over the years, too.

“Joe Morrow came up a couple years ago. It’s happened with a lot of guys. You just take care of what you can control, be happy for guys, and keep working.â€

The Bruins picked Cross in the second round of 2007. Zach Hamill, their first-round pick, last played in the NHL in 2011-12. Hamill played this year in Sweden.

Just. ****ing. Win!

If the Doctor, Tommy Cross is in, I'll be so pumped. He's come a long way. He's a good Dman. And let me tell you, if the Sens try to stir stuff up, expect Cross to be in the thick of it. He protects his guys. And he's become a tough sob over the few years. He's a solid, solid guy.

Please just gut out the win and get bodies back for game 4. I dont like the idea of falling behind in this series against a trap defence. Come on boys, light em up!

How can you not feel like you can walk all over this as Ottawa? I mean how much more of an advantage do you need? Good Lord.... And I love myself some McAvoy, don't get me wrong.

Well to be honest , the trap style of Ottawa helps us in this way . The bruins big problem this yr is they don't have top end defenseman , we have depth and the fact mcAvoy came up as gold and morrow stepped in and played well has certainly helped. . Liles was good until the last game or so . We really aren't missing them that much . Krug would certainly help the P.P but if we think just because we some how got our regular defense back we would win easily we would be fooling ourselves . Trust me the D has played well enough we aren't missing them much.

I feel we are actually missing the forwards more because the depth isn't quite as good.

So completely unnecessary to include the Hamill tidbit in that article. Somebody's trolling lol.

tommy cross is gonna score the GWG tonight and put a little shine on that b's haul at the 2007 nhl draft which is a massive turd floating around (23 combined NHL games).

Good chance for Cross to showcase that he belongs. Looking for him to have a big game with some rough stuff included.

Glad he's getting his chance. Let's see if trading up to take this guy can finally have a positive impact on this franchise. 10 years later.

Hope Krejci is back. Bruins will be able to get back ont of their rare player that can create offense by himself.

Go Bruins! Just win!
