Not really the better team. Nyr have only 51 percent chance to win series. The team are close...slight edge nyr....but pitts has home ice. It's a toss up series..slight edge nyr..very slight.

I would say before the deadline adds the two teams were pretty even. But since then and with the goalie injuries Pens are battling the Rangers have a clear advantage. I don't expect them to go all the way this year but they should get out of the first round quite handily if they show up every game. Pittsburgh has been abhorrent in the playoffs the last 3-4 years.

This will be a tough one. Pittsburgh gets 2nd change, so they get to play matchups. Crosby against the kids line and Reaves line. Domingue will have the adrenaline he needs playing a playoff game at home. Also, the refs influenced by Pittsburgh crowd is not what we need.

Rangers have had hot starts both games. Come out with that again and it completely deadens home ice adrenaline for the Penguins. Learn from the first game too, don't wear yourself out too fast and surrender a big 2nd period.

If the Rangers can somehow find a way to suppress Crosby/Guentzel without expending too much from other areas, they will handily win the series.
